I know that we can live on Mars in the future. I am not sure if/whether there is oxygen on Mars. I dont know when Ill post the letter for you. Amy wonders what a robot can do for us. 2. Review object clauses introduced by “if or whether” and “that”. Structures: 主语+谓语+宾语从句(that +主语+谓语+其他 if/whether+主语+谓语+其他) 3. Tell students that when object clauses relate to “wh-”questions, we should use “wh-” words to introduce object clauses. Ask students to read the grammar rules and the two examples at the top on Page 29. 4. Remind Ss that the clauses should be introduced by “wh-” words and the word order in the clause should be the same as in the statements. e.g. The robot no longer knew. When should it cook breakfast.? The robot no longer knew when it should cook breakfast.Step 3 Practice1. Write the following sentences on the blackboard and encourage students to use the following structures: I am not sure Id like to know I cant imagine Can you tell me? Where is Zhongshan Park? How did you go to school? What will you do next Sunday? When was the parcel delivered? Who called in the morning?2. Asks students to do the exercise on page 29. Students will be able to complete it on their own. 3. Ask some students to read the sentences for checking the answers as a class.3课堂整理宾语从句。1)、宾语从句可放在形容词后。常用形式是“be+形容词+宾语从句” e.g. I am glad you like it .2)、宾语从句与主句时态的一致。 a)主句是现在(或将来)时态时,宾语从句可根据实际需要用不同的时态。如:He says Mary is playing with the cat .He says Mary often plays with the cat.b) 主句时态是一般过去时,从句要用过去时态的某种形式。He said Mary was playing with the cat.c)当从句所表示的是客观事实或客观真理时,该从句都用一般现在时,不用过去时。如:He said light travels much faster than sound.3)、宾语从句中的否定转移。如果主句谓语动词是think , believe suppose 等,而从句的意思是否定这时主句的谓语动词用否定式,从句用肯定式。如:I dont think you are right.我认为你不对。4)、将普通的特殊疑问句变成宾语从句时,从句的语序要由疑问句变成陈述句的语序。When will the meeting begin?-I want to know when the meeting will begin.5)、将普通的一般疑问句变成宾语从句时,则用if /whether连接,同时变成陈述句语序。Are you an English teacher ?-He asked if I was an English teacher.4 当堂练习一、将下列每组两个简单句合并成一句复合句。1. How does he get on with his new classmates? Could you tell me?2. What is he doing there? Mother didnt know.3. Whats his name? I asked him.4. Did he watch TV last night? I am not sure.5.
