The first Zisha teapot was created during the Song Dynasty in the 10th century. A monk in Yixing handmade the teapot from local clay(粘土), but it di

5、d not flourish until the Ming Dynasty in the 15th century. Today, Zisha teapots produced in Yixing City(宜兴) in Jiangsu Province are considered to be the best tool for making tea. Zisha teapots have primitive elegance and good performance of temperature keeping. It is the best choice for making oolon

6、g tea(乌龙 茶), dark tea. Zisha teapot Gaiwan (盖碗) Gaiwan is a kind of teacup with a cover(杯盖), a cup tray(杯托) and a bowl(杯身). Its also known as the name of “Sancai Cup“ (三才 杯), which compared the cover as the heaven, the bowl as human, and the tray as the earth. Therefore, Sancai Cup indicates the har

7、mony among heaven, earth and man. Gaiwan (盖碗) Generally, Gaiwan usually be made of porcelain or glass. The porcelain teapots produced in Jingdezhen(景德 镇), Jiangxi Province and Dehua(德化), Fujian Province were considered to be the best. The porcelain teapots are best suited for brewing black tea or or

8、dinary green tea. Gaiwan (盖碗) The glass covered teacups are transparent, theyre easily observing the changes of the tea color. Use glass to make scented tea(花茶) is a good choice. Glass has a good heat dissipation (散热), and its suitable for making high-grade green tea, which are not supposed to use b
