It includes: wheel suspension, suspension, steering, brakes, wheel and tires. Wheel suspens

4、ions have the task of forming a connection between the vehicle body and the wheels. They must absorb high static forces (load) and dynamic forces (motive, braking and lateral forces). The function of the suspension: Due to the unevenness of a road surface, the wheels of a vehicle must perform moveme

5、nts up and down in addition to their rotation motion. When the vehicle is being driven fast, there movements occur within a very short space of time, generating accelerations and decelerations perpendicular to the road surface which are a multiple of acceleration due to gravity. This causes signific

6、ant, impulsive forces to act on the vehicle, which are greater if the inertia is greater. The suspension works together with the damping to absorb jolts from the road and to convert them into vibrations. The main components of the chassis are frame, spring, shock absorbers, steering system, driving

7、shaft，brakes，tires and wheels. On the whole, there are two suspensions of a car. 1. Front suspension: This system allows the front wheels to move up and down and absorb road shocks. And it also allows the front wheels to swing from side to side so the car can be steered. 2. Rear suspension: This sus

11、 with inner tubes and those without tubes, called tubeless tires. On the inner-tube type, both the tube and the tire casing are mounted on the wheel rim. The tube is a hollow rubber doughnut. It is inflated with air after it is installed inside the tire and the tire is put on the wheel rim. This inf

12、lation causes the tire to resist any change of shape. Tubes are used in some truck tires and in motorcycle tires. Tubes are seldom used in passenger-car tire today. Cars use tubeless tires. The tubeless tire does not use an inner tube. Instead, the tubeless tire is mounted on the wheel rim so that the air is retained between the rim and the tires.
