3、 verbs can be used as subject, object, attributive, complement, predicative and adverbial. Activity 1: Read the following passage and underline (划线)the non-finite verbs &phrases, trying to tell the functions of them.Today, roller skating (滑板)is easy and fun. But a long time ago, it wasnt easy at all
4、. Before 1750, the idea of skating didnt exist. That changed because of a man named Joseph Merlin. Merlins work was making musical instruments. In his spare time he liked to play the violin. Joseph Merlin was a man of ideas and dreams. One day, Merlin received an invitation to attend a fancy dress b
5、all(化妆舞会). He was very pleased and a little excited. As the day of the party came near, Merlin began to think how to make a grand entrance at the party. He had an idea. He thought he would get a lot of attention if he could skate into the room.Merlin tried different ways to make himself roll. Finall
6、y, he decided to put two wheels under each shoe. These were the first roller skates. Merlin was very proud of his invention and dreamed of arriving at the party on wheels while playing the violin.On the night of the party Merlin rolled into the room playing his violin. Everyone was astonished to see
7、 him. There was just one problem. Merlin had no way to stop his roller skates. He rolled on and on. Suddenly, he ran into a huge mirror that was hanging on the wall. Down fell the mirror, breaking into pieces. Nobody forgot Merlins grand entrance for a long time.Step2 : Review the functions of non-f

We are looking forward to _(再次见到您).Points:Brainstorming: Some verbs use infinitive as object. Some verbs use verb-ing form as object.(1)有些词后既可接动名词亦可接动词不定式,但意义不同,如stop, remember, f
11、orget, dislike, regret, attempt, try, mean等。例如:When the teacher came in, the students stopped talking. (talking 是宾语,指停止讲话这个动作)When the teacher came in, the students stopped to talk. (to talk是目的状语,指停下前一动作来进行talk)Remember, forget doing something (指已做过的事)Remember, forget to do something (指未做过的事)(2)动名词和
12、不定式作主语和宾语的区别 to do作主语时常表示某一次具体的动作,具有偶然性; doing(动名词)表示习惯性的动作,往往表抽象概念。(3)Only Verb-ing(动名词) and infinitive can be used as subject and object._ (expose) to the sun does harm to your skin.He dislikes_ (interrupt) in his experiment.(C)Attributive1. 16、I. 动词不定式作宾语补语和现在分词作宾语补语的区别Feel, hear, notice, listen to, see, observe, smell, watch等感官动词,用动词不定式的省略形式作宾补,只说明宾语的一个动作,而分词则说明宾语的动作正在进行II. Have, make,leave 等使役动词可视主被动关系选择 to infinitive, verb-ing, verb-ed 作宾补。( E ) Predicative:1. To see is to believe .2. Seeing is believing. 3. The story is boring.4. We a

My reflection on the lesson: Grammar is very important to foreign language learning. How to teach grammar effectively is what our teachers of English are concerned about. Based on the concept of Larson Freeman “Form, Meaning & Use”, I designed my lesson on the revision of non-finite verbs. Namely, the following elements are highlighted in the teaching activities :1.
