(1987) and Ph.D. degrees (1990) from Rutgers University, New Jersey (USA), all in ele
19、ctrical engineering. He is a Professor and University Research Chair, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Waterloo, Canada. Dr. Shen's research focuses on mobility and resource management in interconnected wireless/wired networks, UWB wireless communications networks
20、, wireless network security, wireless body area networks and vehicular ad hoc and sensor networks. He is a co-author of three books, and has published more than 400 papers and book chapters in wireless communications and networks. Dr. Shen served/serves as the Technical Program Committee Chair for I
21、EEE VTC'10 Fall, the Symposia Chair for IEEE ICC'10, the Tutorial Chair for IEEE ICC'08, the Technical Program Committee Chair for IEEE Globecom'07, the General Co-Chair for Chinacom'07 and QShine'06, the Founding Chair for IEEE Communications Society Technical Committee on P
22、2P Communications and Networking. He also served/serves as a Founding Area Editor for IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications; Editor-in-Chief for Peer-to-Peer Networking and Application; Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, Computer Networks, and ACM/Wireless Network
23、s, etc. He has also served as Guest Editor for IEEE JSAC, IEEE Wireless Communications, and IEEE Communications Magazine.Dr. Shen received the Excellent Graduate Supervision Award in 2006, and the Outstanding Performance Award in 2004 and 2008 from the University of Waterloo, the Premier's Resea
24、rch Excellence Award (PREA) in 2003 from the Province of Ontario, Canada, and the Distinguished Performance Award in 2002 and 2007 from the Faculty of Engineering, University of Waterloo. Dr. Shen is a registered Professional Engineer of Ontario, Canada, an IEEE Fellow, and a Distinguished Lecturer
25、of IEEE Communications Society.Dr. Rabinder N. Madan, a Life Fellow of IEEE and 2010 recipient of the IEEE Harry Diamond Award. He received his B.Sc. (Hons) and M.Sc. in Physics from St. Stephen's College, Delhi and a Ph. D. in Theoretical Physics from Princeton University. At the Office of Nava
26、l Research he directs and manages programs in Signal Processing and Information Sciences. In the prior years he held faculty positions at the Universities of California, Massachusetts and North Carolina and was a Senior Scientist at Hughes Aircraft Co. His interests and publications are in informati
27、on sciences, signal processing, communications theory, nonlinear phenomenon, variation and optimization principles, scattering theory and principles of Radar. From 1993- 2010 he served as the Editor-in -Chief of the Journal of the Franklin Institute. He is credited with having initiated the era of S
28、pecial Issues and articles of substance with long shelf life in the Journal.He is the recipient of the 1989 IETE J. C. Bose Memorial Award for the best paper in Science and Engineering and the best paper award in 'Cognitive Information Fusion' at the IEEE 2010 MFI in Utah. He has the honor o
29、f receiving the 2010 IEEE Harry Diamond Award. He remains active in several IEEE Signal Processing and Communications technical committees , interacts with the signal processing community through his participation and support for students at ICASSP and other signal processing related workshops and c
30、onferences.Dr. Huidi Li, a Assistant President of China Mobile Communications Corporation. Dr. Li joined the Company in June 2008 and assists the President in relation to TD-SCDMA development, terminals, China Mobile Group Design Institute Company Limited, and China Mobile Management School. He prev
31、iously served as Vice President and General Manager of New Technologies and High-End Product BU of Lenovo Group, Director and Vice President of UTStarcom, researcher at former Lucent Technologies Bell Labs, and Sr. Systems Engineer of InterDigital. Dr. Li holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electronic
32、Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology, a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering (focusing on mobile communications) from Polytechnic Institute of New York University, and a Doctoral Degree in Management from Hong Kong Polytechnic University.Tutorial 主讲人介绍:Dr. Liuqing Yang, received
33、her Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, in 2004. Since August 2004, she has been with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Florida, Gainesville, where she is currently an Associate Professor. Her gen
34、eral interests are in areas of communications and signal processing subjects on which she has published more than 100 journal and conference papers, 1 book chapter and 1 book. Her current research focuses on ultra-wide band wireless communication systems, transmitter and receiver diversity technique
35、s for single- and multi-user fading channels, and underwater communications and networking. Dr. Yang was the recipient of the Best Dissertation Award in the Physical Sciences & Engineering from the University of Minnesota in 2004, the Best Paper Award at the IEEE International Conference on UWB
36、in 2006, the AFOSR Summer Faculty Fellowship in 2007, the ONR Young Investigator Program (YIP) award in 2007, and the NSF Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) award in 2009. She is serving as an active reviewer for more than 10 journals, as TPC chair/member for a number of conferences, and as a
37、n associate editor for IEEE Transactions on Communications, IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, and PHYCOM: Physical Communication. Dr. Yang is a senior IEEE member, and has been the co-chair of the Mobile Communication Networks tech
38、nical committee of the IEEE ITSS and the vice chair of the IEEE Gainesville section since 2006.Dr. Peter Han Joo CHONG, Between July 2000 and January 2001, he worked in the Advanced Networks Division at Agilent Technologies Canada Inc., Vancouver, BC, Canada. From February 2001 to May 2002, he was w
39、ith the Radio Communications Laboratory at Nokia Research Center, Helsinki, Finland, and was involved in research on WCDMA and standardization for HSDPA. During his stay in Finland, he has taught part of a graduate course in WCDMA at the Helsinki University of Technology, Helsinki, Finland. Since Ma
40、y 2002, he has been with the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, where he is an Assistant Professor. He was a Technical Program Committee Chair for Mobility Conference 2005 and 2006 and a General Chair of Mobility Conference 2007 and 20

He served as a Guest Editor of Journal of Internet Technology in 2006, International Journal of Ad Hoc and Ubiquitous Computing in 2007 and IEEE Communications Magazine for the Special Issue on Technologies in Multihop Cellular Network in 2007. He is an Editorial Board Member of Security and Com
42、munication Networks and an Editor of Far East Journal of Electronics and Communications. His research interests are in the areas of mobile communications systems including, channel assignment schemes, radio resource management and multiple access, MANET and multihop cellular networks.Dr. Jun-Hong Cu
43、i, a Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at the University of Connecticut, received her M.S. degree in Computer Science from University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. From 1999 to 2003, she worked as a Ph.D student in the Network Research Lab led by Professor Mari
44、o Gerla at University of California, Los Angeles. In August 2003, she joined the Computer Science & Engineering Department at University of Connecticut as an assistant professor.Dr. Cuis research interests cover the design, modeling and performance evaluation of networks and distributed systems.
45、 Recently, her research mainly focuses on exploiting the spatial properties in the modeling of network topology, network mobility, and group membership, scalable and efficient communication support in overlay and peer-to-peer networks, algorithm and protocol design in underwater sensor networks.Dr.
46、Cui was awarded the NSF CAREER Award for proposal “Tackling Fundamental Networking Problems in Underwater Acoustic Sensor Networks” in 2007 and the Office of Naval Research Young Investigator Program (ONR YIP) Award for proposal “A Networking Perspective: Towards Reliable Underwater Acoustic Sensor Networks” in 2008.
