1、So . that.与so that的使用及考前须知So.that.与so that都可以引导状语从句 ,但是有所不同。先分析如下：So.that.意为“如此以至于. ,用来引导一个结果状语从句。其句型结构是：1. 主语+ 实义动词 +so + 副词 + that 从句。例如：The girl ran so fast that no one could catch up with her. It rained so heavily that we have to stay at home.2. 主语+ 系动词be, become, feel 等+so + 形容词 +that 从句。例如：The

2、 question is so difficult that we can not work out it .3. 主语+ 谓语+ so + 形容词. + a/an +单数可数名词+ that 从句。例如：It is so busy a day that we dont go swimming.4. 主语+ 谓语+ so + many/few + 复数可数名词+ that + 从句。例如：I have made so many mistakes that I must stay at home deep in thought.5. 主语+ 谓语 + so + much/little + 不可数

3、名词+that 从句。例如：What a pity, we have got so little money that we can not eat at restaurant.6. 主语+ 谓语+ so + many (much, few, little) + that 从句。例如：The shirt cost so much that I did not want to take it.So .that从句可以转成一下几种简单句：1. 假设that 从句是否认句 ,且主从句的主语一致时 ,用too .to do sth句型转换。例如：He was so young that he coul

4、d not go to school.= he was too young to go to school.2. 假设that 从句是否认句 ,且主从句的主语不一致是 ,用too.for sb. To do sth句型来转换 ,这里for 后面的sb是原从句主语的宾格形式。例如：She spoke so quickly that they could not understand her.= She spoke too quickly for them to understand.3. 假设that从句是肯定句 ,且主从句的主语一致时 ,用enough to do sth句型来转换。例如：Th

6、or sb.) to do sth句型来转换 ,但enough 前的adj或adv 应为原句型重so后的adj 或adv. 的反义词。例如：the room is so small that it can not hold 200 people.= the room is too small to hold 200 people. = the room is not bie enough to hold 200 people. The box is so heavy that we can not carry it. = the box is too heavy for us to carry

7、 .The box is not light enough for us to carry So that 是附属连词 ,用来引导目的和结果状语从句1. so that 可以引导目的状语从句 ,意义为“以便 ,为了 , 可用 in order that 从句来替换。这种从句的谓语动词一般要和情态动词can/could/, may/might 等连用。例如：he gets up early in the morning so that he can catch the early bus= he gets up early in the morning in order that he can

8、catch the early bus.He worked hard so that he could finish his work in time.= he worked hard in order that he could finish his work in time.2. so that 引导结果状语从句时 , 意义为“结果是. , “ 以至于 ,一般不与情态动词连用 ,有时可用逗号与主句隔开 ,有时那么不用。这种从句可用so. That从句来转换。例如：it rained hard yesterday so that we had to stay at home.= it rained so hard that we had to stay at home yesterday.3. so that 引导的目的状语从句可以简化成“ in order to 或so
