3、tion,so its easier for them to understand of todays lesson.Meanwhile,they like cooperating with each other ,and cooperation in groups can be a better way for teaching.III、Teaching contents: Part A Lets learn IV、Teaching aims、focus &difficulties:1 To enable the students to master the four skills
4、phrases: on foot,by bike,by bus,by train, by plane,by ship,by subway2 To enable the students to ask about the ways of traffic with the following sentence patterns: How can you get to? and answer with“I can get to by ”3. How are you?Divide the class into several groups,each group has 6 students.T: Now I will divide you into some groups, each gr
6、oup has six members.Each group must try hard to get the winner.When your group get the right answer, you got one point, and we will reward the best one in the end.Now lets begin.Show the sounds and pictures to students and make them guess.eg:T:Listen,whats this? S: Its a bus.Lets sing :How do you go
7、 to school?T:Oh,I want to sing a song.Listen to the song and try to follow it.Design idea: Dividing groups can make the class more challenging and it is a good way for students to teach each other in class.It is a good way to use sounds 、 pictures and songs to review the old words and active the cla
8、ss.review some words and pave the way for the next steps. The question in the song can also be the introduction of todays new phrases.2. PresentationShow picturesof transportation and help the students to answer in this pattern:I go to school T:How do you go to school?S:On foot.T:Yes. I go to school
9、 on foot.Follow me,please.T:Who can say it? T:Oh,your pronunciation is great, can you say it again.Everybody follow him,please.(In the same ways )Teach “by subway” and “by taxi” “by bus” .Pair workT:Now every one ask and answer in each group,using the pattern above.and I will let you show it in 2 mi

11、 get toDesign idea:Using the song to introduce the new phrases is a easier for students to accept and pictures make the understands much easier.Keeping the phrases into the patterns can make the students know how to use easily.Choose some students to read and show can fulfill the system of group com
12、petition and activate the class.3.Consolidation and Extension Listen and follow the tape. Emphasize the difference between . “ by”& “on” .Design idea:Using the tape to strenghten the new phrases and correct the pronunciation.Show all the new phrases to let the students know the difference betwee
13、n “ by”& “on”. Lets chantDesign idea:Using the chant to strenghten the new phrases and the pattern. Games:Whats missing?T: Look,which phrase is missing?T:Look,which word is missing?T:Look,which letters are missing?Design idea:Using the game to test the students on saying,memory and the spelling.
