1、Oxford English 9 A上Unit 4 Reading A 教学设计从化市吕田中学 曾东秀2013.10.25课 题:牛津英语上海版9 A上 Unit 4 What should I do?教学内容:Reading A What should I do?教材分析:本单元的主题是讲述如何就自己遇到的问题向别人寻求帮助,是学生比较感兴趣的话题。本课是本单元的第一课时,阅读材料是学生的三封求助信,学习在遇到困难时应该如何向他人寻求帮助。这三封求助信与我们学生的实际生活非常贴近,容易激起学生的学习兴趣。但是新短语比较多,对学生来说,也是个挑战。学情分析:1. 学生大都非常喜欢问问题,具备一

2、定的寻求帮助的常识,所以他们会对这个主题比较感兴趣。学习完本课后,对他们解决问题有一定的帮助。通过初中两年的学习,学生已具备一定的阅读理解能力,掌握一些阅读理解的策略与技巧,借助本课的阅读理解活动进一步巩固、运用已学的策略与技巧,以提高学生的阅读理解能力。2. 本校是山区学校,学生的英语基础相对较薄弱,有相当一部分学生对英语的学习缺乏兴趣,英语学习热情偏低,没有形成良好的学习习惯,课堂比较沉闷,竞争意识欠缺,要上好这节课具有一定的挑战性。教学目标:1.认知目标:学生能够读懂这三封求助信; 学生能够掌握新词汇,熟悉新短语。2.能力发展目标:通过多种形式的阅读活动与任务,指导学生进一步巩固、运用已

3、学的阅读理解策略与技巧,培养一些阅读微技能,如:猜测生词大意、搜寻细节信息等,从而提高学生的阅读理解能力;学生尝试运用自己的语言讲述遇到的问题;培养学生探究学习、合作学习、自主学习的能力。3.情感目标:激发学生对自己身边发生的事进行思考; 引导学生要有正义感,以平常心正确对待身边发生的事更重要。教学重点:学习和掌握短语:flower pot, by accident, question sb., feel guilty, be frightened, do no good, by mistake, wait one's turn 及阅读微技能的培养。教学难点:生词的学习和巩固,大意的了

4、解。教学资源:录音机,听力磁带,教师自制的课件,课室DVD电视大屏幕教学流程设计:步骤目的教师活动学生活动1. Warming upTo get Ss involved in the topic:letters. To arouse their interest for letters. Lead in and Show some pictures about letters to the students(课件1)and ask:1)Did all the writers feel happy? 2)Did all the writers want help? 3) Where can yo

5、u see letters like these, Chinese teacher or teacher counsellor?Watch the letters and think about the three questions. Check their answers in groups.2.Pre-readingTo get ready for the reading.Ask students to read the new words and phrases.(课件2)Look at the screen and learn the new words.Get familiar w

6、ith the basic information of the letters. 3. While- readingTo get familiar with the letters. To develop their reading skills, such as scanning.To help build up confidence.Ask students to read the letters quickly, and complete the sentences with words and phrases by themselves. Then check the answers

7、 with the whole class. (课件3)Read the letters and get a general idea of the letters. Finish the exercise on the paper.Underline the words and phrases in the passage.To get more information about the letters .To develop their reading skills, such as making a conclusion according to the sentences with

8、the same meaning in the passage.Ask the students to read the letters carefully, and finish the multiple choice exercises. (课件4)Pay attention to the methods.Remind them to underline the answers.Check the answers.Read the story again and have a better understanding of the letters. Students read while

13、arnt from the letters. Share the opinions on the end of the other letter and give emotional guide. Choose some Ss to act out. Homework1.Remember the useful words and phrases.2.Do some relevent exercises on English weekly. (课件8)课后反思1.以图片形式引出本课题,通过信件重现的方式吸引学生的注意力,充分调动学生的积极性,虽然学生的英语基础不是很扎实,但在老师的调动下也能自然地加入课堂当中来。2.让学生先阅读信件内容,做点相关的写单词和填短
