1、Charlotte Bronte (1816-1855), English writer noted for her novel Jane Eyre (1847), sister of Anne Bronte and Emily Bronte. The three sisters are almost as famous for their short, tragic lives as for their novels. In the past 40 years Charlotte Bronts reputation has risen rapidly, and feminist critic

2、ism has done much to show that she was speaking up for oppressed women of every age. o Jane Eyre is a first-person narrative of the title character. The novel goes through five distinct stages: Janes childhood at Gateshead, where she is emotionally and physically abused by her aunt and cousins; her

3、education at Lowood School, where she acquires friends and role models but also suffers privations and oppression; o her time as the governess of Thornfield Hall, where she falls in love with her employer, Edward Rochester; her time with the Rivers family during which her earnest but cold clergyman

4、cousin, St John Rivers, proposes to her; and the finale with her reunion with, and marriage to, her beloved Rochester.o A reader can feel the most beautiful and true love from Janes love. Because love between Jane and Rochester is that heart and feeling are perfect response and have mutual interacti

Jane and Rochester gets true love after a lot suffering; Jane and Rochester love each other deeply although they undergo lots of hardship. o In true love, without regard to property and rank, Jane falls in love with Mr. Rochester who has rich experience and wisdom and kind-hearted. When Rocheste

6、r falls in love with Jane, he feels that he finds salvation in Janes love. Jane loves him, but not for his wealth and high rank. Rochester loves Jane for her unique character.o Both of them do not care about the difference of status and property or others opinion. They pursue true love As for Janes

7、love, her marriage is based on equality, respect and honesty. She looks down upon the marriage for money and refuses to be a puppet in the noble family. She truly loves Rochester instead of his wealth and social status. Her unique character and beautiful soul make her more beautiful than any other b

8、eautiful heroine in famous novels. o While Janes life has been fairly sedate, long, quiet years at Lowood, Rochesters has been wild and dissipated. Rochester is a passionate man, often guided by his senses rather than by his rational mind. Like Jane, Rochester is connected with almost psychic powers

9、. o His wealth of power for communicating happiness seems magical to Jane, As gypsy fortuneteller, he weaves a magical web around Jane with words and looks directly into her heart so that she feels as unseen spirit is watching and recording all of her feelings. He also peers into Blanches heart, rec

10、ognizing her for a fortune hunter. o Finally, his telepathic cry to Jane when shes at Moor House shows his psychic ability. Like Jane, he taps into the magical powers of the universe in professing his love.When he meets Jane, Rochester is planning to change his lifestyle. Giving up his wild, dissipa
