(Effective Winter 2006, all new students will be admitted to the BBA and DipBA programs.)To choose the program you would like, complete a form and return it to the general office as soon as possible.Winter 2006UR BusinessA new registration system Most registration activity is now con
3、ducted on-line via yoUR Self Service (i.e., adding, dropping and changing courses).http:/www.uregina.ca/compserv/postcard/On-line registration provides students more options and flexibility. The system is essentially available 24/7.Some courses may require you to obtain “Advanced Permission” from an
4、 advisor before the system will allow you to register on-line.Winter 2006UR BusinessUpcoming registration dates Registration begins on Monday, November 7th. Login to yoUR Self-Service to view your registration group time ticket. You are eligible to register any time after your time ticket begins.Reg

(Keep this information up-to-date at all times!)Check the View Holds screen in yoUR Self-Service to determine if y
8、ou are eligible to register. If there are any financial or academic holds on your record, you will not be able to register on-line. Winter 2006UR BusinessSeeking advanced permission Advanced Permission must be obtained prior to registering, if you have selected any course that: you have completed be
9、fore you have a grade of W in you do not have the necessary pre-req foris needed for your program and has restrictionsReview course descriptions in the Undergraduate General Calendar to ensure that you have the pre-requisites and request “Advanced Permission” for exceptions, as needed.It is your res
10、ponsibility to confirm that you have satisfied the pre-requisites and other course restrictions. If you have not satisfied these requirements, you will need to complete an Advanced Permission form. Note: Permission is not automatic.Winter 2006UR BusinessReviewing your program card Add current course
11、s (2005 Fall) to your program card.Check completed credit hours and PGPA.Review each category on the card (Note: failed courses and NPs will be included on the card until you retake or replace the course/requirement).The Courses Beyond Introductory area, can include only the following options:Stats
12、Humanities (List A)Math Social Sciences (List B)CSDetermine which requirements remain outstanding in your program and plan your schedule accordingly.Winter 2006UR BusinessChoosing open electives Choose open elective courses from subjects that interest you. These can be courses offered by any faculty
13、, providing you have the pre-requisites to take the courses.You may wish to select your electives in such a way that you qualify for an additional credential such as a Certificate in Computer Science, Economics, German, Japanese or Spanish. (Refer to the handouts for further details regarding these

15、 suitable course schedule. Record your weekly class schedule, the CRN numbers, AND final exam dates & times, on a timetable form.Confirm that there is space available in the courses you select and ensure that you do not have any time conflicts. If a course you want to take is full, you will have to
16、select something else.Refer to the Winter 2006 deadline information included in your package to determine the last day to add/change or drop courses.Winter 2006UR BusinessRegistering for courses on-line Review the Undergraduate General Calendar for program requirements and/or restrictions. (i.e. stu
17、dents will not get credit for both of ECON 232 & ADMN 340).Go to: http:/www.uregina.ca/compserv/postcard/ and login to yoUR Self-Service to register and/or add, drop or change courses.Refer to the colourful Student Guide to Registration handout, or consult with staff, if you need assistance with on-
18、line registration.Winter 2006UR BusinessDrop-in Registration Labs Beginning on November 7th, the Faculty of Business Administration will be staffing a drop-in lab to assist students with their online registration.The lab will be open daily, for a specific period of time. Watch for posters providing
19、details.If you need assistance with your registration, stop by. One of our staff will be happy to help you with your registration concerns.Winter 2006UR BusinessFaculty policies Deferred exams Applications for Deferred Exams (DE) must be submitted to the ADMN main office; do not make arrangements wi
20、th the instructor before your application has been approved. If a DE is approved, the main office will schedule the exam for one of the four Fridays in the month following the end of the semester.Taking off-campus/correspondence coursesYou must obtain permission prior to registering for courses at o
21、ther institutions; without written permission you run the risk of taking a course and not receiving transfer credit. If you are interested in taking online UofR courses, go to the Distance Learning Web Site (www.uregina.ca/cce/offcampus) for more information. Academic performance All Faculty of Admi
22、nistration students are required to maintain a Semester GPA of 65% or higher each semester. Students who do not meet this standard, will be placed on Faculty Academic Probation. Please refer to the Undergraduate General Calendar for further details.Winter 2006UR BusinessAcademic misconduct Plagiaris
23、m, cheating, and all other forms of academic misconduct will not be tolerated.Definitions and further information regarding academic misconduct can be found in the Undergraduate General Calendar.If your are suspected of plagiarism, cheating or other academic misconduct:You will be called into the As

For further information, contact the professional organization directly or arrange a meeting with the Program Advisor.Winter 2006UR BusinessCo-op education Co-op education criteria:Students are eligible to apply during a semester when they will be completing 54 to 81 credit hours, if the
28、y have a minimum average of 67.5%Students must be in the BBA/BAdmin program Student must have completed, or be registered to complete, ADMN 007, 260 & 285Students must be registered in at least 12 credit hours per semesterStudents apply at the Co-op Office during the first week of classes in the sem
29、ester prior to their first work term.The Co-op program requires students to complete 3 work terms. 32、 posters.Winter 2006UR BusinessOther useful information Transcripts:If you are taking courses through other institutions, it is your responsibility to arrange to have transcripts sent to the University of Regina.It takes time for transfer credits to be processed and applied to your student record. R
33、equest that your transcripts are sent as soon as possible to avoid delays with your convocation.Scholarships:There are numerous scholarships and bursaries available through the Faculty of Business Admin and through the University of Regina.Some scholarships are awarded automatically and others requi
34、re an application. For a complete listing of scholarships, pick up a copy of the UofR Awards booklet or refer to: http:/www.uregina.ca/awards/scholarships/.Winter 2006UR BusinessConvocation information An Application for Graduation must be completed, signed, and submitted directly to the Faculty off
35、ice for processing. Forms are available online at: http:/www.uregina.ca/convocation/general.shtml The date you submit your application determines which ceremony you will be eligible to attend.Applications received between August 1st and January 31st, with program requirements completed by April 30th
36、, makes you eligible to attend Spring Convocation.Applications received between February 1st and July 31st, with program requirements completed by August 31st, makes you eligible to attend Fall Convocation.Winter 2006UR BusinessPlanning your future Employment Opportunities:Students within 16 months
37、of completing their program should register in the Job Registry at Student Employment Services.
