1、教学设计题目BOOK 6 Module 6 Reading and Vocabulary: The D-Day Landings 教材分析本课是外研社版选修六第六模块War and Peace 中的Vocabulary and Reading “D日登陆”。第六册虽然是选修教材,但在语言知识、学习策略、语言与技能和文化知识方面对于学生的能力培养跟必修教材起着同样的作用。本节课是词汇及阅读课,再现了第二次世界大战背景下的主要战役“D日登陆”,是这模块中的第1课时,对本模块其它内容的展开和关于战争与和平的话题的讨论起着引领的作用。本课由三篇小文章组成,即简述“霸王行动”,A连登陆的情景和对二战的贡

2、献,及人们对死去的英雄的纪念。由于本节课是关于“D日登陆”的战争题材,里面又含有一些关于战争术语的生僻词,因此,学生阅读起来有一定的难度。但对于教师而言,如何让学生学会化解生僻词来理解难的文章,如何利用阅读技巧有效地解决难题,如何升华主题来培养学生的情感态度,这些问题都是本堂课的实际教学需要思考的问题。学情分析高二学生已经经历了一学年的英语学习,能力正处于承上启下的阶段。学生们的口语能力,逻辑思维能力和对知识运用的能力已有较大的提高,他们在课堂中的表现从大胆,活跃,感性过渡到沉稳和理性。但由于学生的词汇量有限,而本节课涉及的是战争题材,对于相当一部分学生来说,内容枯燥难懂,很难引起他们的兴趣。

3、因此,对于本节课,老师更应当利用有效的教学手段启发他们的学习兴趣,帮助学生树立信心解决难题,唤起他们反对战争,热爱和平的热情。本课以阅读理解为核心,通过讨论式教学,多媒体辅助教学,小组合作和小组竞赛的形式组织教学,学生不难掌握本节课的内容。教学目标语言知识目标使学生能够运用本模块所学词汇、短语和术语介绍“D日登陆”这一大规模军事行动,陈述自己对战争的看法; 学习策略目标通过思维导图培养学生的逻辑思维、归纳总结能力;通过小组合作与讨论话题“战争与和平”培养学生发散思维的能力。语言与技能目标用Scanning (寻读)和Skimming (略读)的阅读技巧完成三篇文章相应的练习,使学生排除词汇障碍

4、,更好的理解文章;用关键词复述三篇文章,锻炼学生复述文章的能力。文化知识目标“战争与和平”是当今世界永恒的话题,让学生了解和讨论二战中的重要战役“D日登陆”,不但使学生重新回顾那段历史,再现战争的残酷性,更激发了他们维护正义,珍爱世界和平的热忱。同时,小组合作,小组讨论的教学模式使学生们的想法和体验得到了尊重,使学生心胸变得博大,更容易理解他人,有助于他们个性的发挥,养成合作学习的习惯,让学生体会到通过集体智慧学习知识的乐趣。重点与难点要点运用所学词汇和短语讨论战争,陈述自己对战争与和平的观点和态度;D日登陆的情况,包括总体情况、伤亡情况和幸存者对失去同志的悼念。难点运用阅读策略和技巧有效地解

5、决难题;学习用这三篇文章中的生词来描述战争的残酷,表达对战争与和平的看法。教学策略选择与设计任务型教学法本课采用的任务型教学法把培养语言实际应用能力的全过程分解到各个教学任务中,创造出交际情境,使学生能够顺利完成所设定的各个英语教学目标。在完成某个任务的过程中他们时而与同学讨论合作,时而独立思考,时而回顾已学内容,时而查阅新的知识,把学习英语巧妙的融入到任务完成中。合作式教学法小组合作讨论(共六组,每组六人)在完成有一定难度的学习任务时,如培养学生批判性思维,表达和分享观点态度的活动中,小组合作是了解不同人对同一话题的反应的一个好方法,让学生学会在小组里尽可能地活跃,同时倾听其他人的意见。教学
