28、tDeskManagermustensureparticipationofFrontDeskpersonnelinallpropertysafetyawarenessprograms.PLANNINGANDORGANIZI:NGFrontDeskManagersutilizegoalsettingtoolstoachievelongandshortrangeobjectivesandtimemanagementskillstomeetjobrequirementsandresponsibilities.TheyscheduleFrontDeskpersonnel,takingintoconsi

30、partmentswithinthehotelandhoweachaffectstheFrontDeskoperationinordertodevelopandmaintainaproductiverelationshipwithalldepartmentsofthehotel.Inaddition,FrontDeskManagersunderstandthefunctionsofExecutiveCommittee.TECHNICALKNOWLED:GEFrontDeskManagerspossessaworkingknowledgeofallFrontOfficeareassothatth
31、eycaneffectivelysupervisethemintheabsenceoftheFrontOfficeManager(orAssistantFrontOfficeManager).TheyknowhowtooperateallFrontOfficeequipmentandhowtoreportmalfunctrionsshouldtheyoccur.FrontDeskManagersconductqualitycontrolaudits,enforcecreditpoliciesandprocedures,andmonitorsellingprocedures.Also,FrontDeskManagersknowtheproceduresandresponsibilitiesoftheNightAuditstaff.
