1WHATISECONOMETRICS?Econometricsmeans“economicmeasurement”butmuchbroaderthanmeasurement,ascanbeseenfromthefollowingquotations:Econometricsmaybedefinedasthequantitativeanalysisofactualeconomicphenomenabasedontheconcurrentdevelopmentoftheoryandobservation,relatedbyappropriatemethodsofinference.计量经济学是对实际经济现象的定量分析,结合适当的推断方法,验证或证伪理论和实践之间关系的命题。1
