学情分析：四年级的小学生已经有了一年多的英语基础，在教学上比三年级要容易些。大部分同学在课堂表现都比较积极，活跃。但由于四年级的学生都处于十岁左右，注意力很难长时间集中，所以在教学中要多采用图片、歌曲、游戏等比较有趣的形式来吸引他们的注意力，这样才能达到良好的教学效果。

教学准备：交通工具和地点图片、多媒体、录音机。

出示学校卡片以及近处和远处的两所房子。

首先提问距离比较远的同学。通过提问“How

do

you

go

school?”

引导学生说出自己不同的出行方式。如:

“by

bus”,“by

car”,“by

bike”,“by

taxi”...

再次提问距离比较近的同学“How

do

you

go

to

school?”，看看他们是如何到达学校。如“by

bike”,“Walk

to

school.”

再次提示学生“Walk

to

school.”也可以用“on

foot”表示。引出新知识。反复领读“on

foot”。强调其他出行方式用“by”表示，只有步行用“on”。

设计意图：通过看图片和提问的形式，让学生回答出自己曾经学过的出行方式，又学习了新知识“on

foot”。反复练习，加深印象，为下一步学习课文做好铺垫。
