-Representthecompanyprofessionally,ethicallyandmorallyatalltimes.
-ResponsiblefordevelopinghighvaluecustomeraccountsthroughthesaleofIllumina'sproductsandservices.
-Participatesinallsalesactivitiesandassistswithgeneralcustomerdemonstrations,trainingandsupport.
-Coordinatesandcommunicatessalesactivitiesandstrategieseffectivelytosupervisor.
-Developsandmaintainsallaccount/contactdetailswithinIllumina'sCRMdatabase.Utilizessametoeffectivelymonitoranddirectcustomerpurchasingactivities.
-Providesregularandaccuratesalesforecastupdates.
-Assistswiththedevelopmentofacustomizedterritoryplan–andfollowsterritoryplantoprovidebestreturnonsalesterritoryandconsolidationoftravel–timemanagement.
-Maintainsaneffective,professionalworkingrelationshipwithinternalcustomersandproductdevelopmentgroups.
-EstablishesandmaintainsacomprehensivedatabaseofallusersinterritorywithinCRM.Lookfortrendsinusage/applicationsandidentifyhowwecanleverageadditionalsalesbasedonthisinformation.
-Spendatleast40%oftheirtimeinthefielddevelopingcustomerrelationships.
-Appropriatelyutilizecompanyresourcesrequiredtosupportasale,withregardtocompanyoperatingexpenses.
-Negotiatesallgeneticanalysissalesinterritoryandgeneratesassociatedsalescontractsandquotations.
-Assistsintheidentificationandrecruitmentofnewsalespeopleasrequired.
-Aids,supports,andhelpsdevelopnewsalesterritoriescreatedthroughbusinessgrowth.
-Assistwithworkshops,conventions,seminarseriesandothermarketingactivitiesasrequired.ProspectSelectionScreening.
-Identifyandmanagehigh-calibergeneticanalysissalesopportunitiesthroughprofessionalscreeningprocessesanduseofallavailableinformationresources.
-Developcomprehensiveknowledgeofprospectsincludingpersonnelandresponsibilities,budgeting,internalpolitics,productsandservices,competitionandmarket.
-Initiateanddeveloprelationshipswithvariouskeypersonnelatselectedtargets.
-Promptlyfollow-uponanysalesleadsbymakingdirectcontactwithprospectandcommencingscreening.
-Workwithothercompanypersonnelasintermediaries(whenappropriate)toestablishtargetcustomerrelationships.
-Distinguishbetweenregularsalesandbusinessdevelopmentopportunities.WhenthelatterisidentifiedbringBusinessDevelopmentintothecustomerrelationship.Salesshouldalwaystakeprimaryresponsibilityformanagingthecustomerrelationshipandassociatedlogistics.Sales
-Closehighqualitysalesprospectstomeetsalestargets.
-Maintainprimaryrelationshipwithprospectsduringpre-sales,salesandpostsalesphases.
-Maintainprofitmarginsthrougheffectivesalesnegotiation.
-Ensurethatcustomersarefullysatisfiedwiththetransactions.
