StudentsManagementInternationalCollegetelephonenumbersinadvance.Students,whoisabsentfromschoolwithoutleave,willreceivethepunishmentofwarningorabove.Studentsmustfollowtherulesbelowtoaskforleave.StudentsshouldsubmitwrittenrequeststotheirteachersofrelevantcoursestoaskfbrleaveandsubmitthewrittenrequesttoStudents'AffairsOfficeofInternationalCollegeafterteacherssigntheiropinion.ChineseLanguagelearnersshouldsubmittheirrequestsdirectlytoOSA.Sick-leaverequiresapersonalnoteorhospitalproof.Sick-leavewithinoneweekrequiresteachersofrelevantcoursessignature,andreporttoOSA;sick-leavelongerthanoneweekrequiresthesignatureofteachersofrelevantcourses,andthedirectorwhoisinchargeofinternationalstudents.Iftheserequirementsarenotmet,itwillberegardedasanabsence.Studentswhoaskfbrleaveonprivateaffairshavetogothroughthefollowingformalities:ChineseLanguageLearners:withinthreedays,obtainpermissionfromOSA;longerthanthreedays,obtainpermissionfromtheDirectorwho'sinchargeofinternationalstudents'affairs.UndergraduateStudentsandGeneralScholars:withinoneweek,obtainpermissionfromtheteachersofrelevantcourses;longerthanoneweek,obtainpermissionfromteachersofrelevantcoursesandDirectorwho'sinchargeofinternationalstudents5affairs.Inbothcases,studentsneedtosubmitthewrittenrequesttoOSAwithasignatureandstampofthedepartment.GraduateStudents,AdvancedScholarsandResearchers:withinoneweek,obtainpermissionfromthesupervisorandthedepartmentoffice;longerthanoneweek,obtainpermissionfromthesupervisorandtheheadofthedepartment.Inbothcases,studentsneedtosubmitthewrittenrequesttoOSAwithsignatureandstampofthedepartment.Thenoteneedstobestampedwiththeofficialsealandkeptforfuturerecord.Undergraduatestudentswhocannotgoonstudyduetoahealthproblem(sick-leaveislongerthantwomonths)shouldapplytodepartments,theAcademicAffairsOfficeandOSAfbrsuspensionandreturntotheircountriesfbrmedicaltreatment.Theycanapplyfbrresumptionuponrecovery.Theywillbeaskedtoquitschooliftheirhealthhasn'timprovedwhensuspensionisover.Languagelearners'semesterattendanceshouldbe80%ormore.OtherwisetheInternationalCollegewillnotissuethemstudycertificates.Forotherstudents,theirabsencesshouldbenomorethanonethirdoftheclasshours,otherwisetheywillbeaskedtoquitschool.Leavewillnotbepermittedduringtheperiodofassessmentexceptfbraseriousoracutedisease.Sickleaveshallbestrictlylimitedatthetimeofassessment.Leavefbraseriousoracutediseaserequiresaconfirmationfromthehospital.Absencefromclasswithoutleavewillberegardedasplayingtruant.Truantmustgetadmonishmentaswellasthedisciplinarypunishment.Afterregistration,thestudent,whoplaystruant,willreceivethefollowingpunishment:Awarningisgiventothosestudentswhoareabsentfromschoolfbr11to25classhoursor5daysaccumulatively.Aseriouswarningisgiventothosestudentswhoareabsentfromschoolfbr26to40classesor6to8daysaccumulatively;Ademeritisrecordedfbrthosestudentswhoareabsentfbr41to55classhoursor9to11daysaccumulatively;Probationisputonthosestudentswhoareabsentfbr56to70classhoursor12to14daysaccumulatively.Students,whoareabsentover71classhoursormorethan15days,willbeexpelledandhavetheirResidencePermitannulled.TransferofMajororInstitutionArticle34TheprocedureoftransferofmajororTheprocedureoftransferofmajorare:advanceanapplicationbystudent,gettheapprovalfromtheDepartmentsofbothmajorsandaconfirmationfromInternationalStudentsOffice,andfinishsomeotherrelevantformalitiesare:advanceanapplicationbystudent,gettheapprovalfromInternationalCollege,teachingaffairsdivisionandfinishsomeotherrelevantformalities.Students,whofulfillsoneofthefollowingconditions,arepermittedtochangetheirmajors:Recognizedbytheiroriginaldepartment,studentswhoownanoutstandingspecialskillsandcangivefullplaytotheirspecialskillsaftertheshiftofmajor.Confirmedbytheiroriginaldepartment,studentswhoareincapableofpursuinghisstudybutcapableofreadinganothermajor;Studentswhopasstheexamforchangingofmajorandmeettherelevantcriteria.StudentswhoarenoteligibletoornotacceptedbythenewmajoraredisallowedtotransfertheirmajorsStudents,whoaredifficulttoaccomplishtheirstudycanaskfbrtransferofinstitution.Theprocedureincludesstudent'sapplication,approvalfromtheDepartment,TeachingAffairsDivisionandInternationalCollege,andfinishestherelevantformalities.Whatisleftunmentionedabouttransferofmajororinstitutionwillbeconsultaccordingtorelevantregulations.SuspendandResumeSchoolingStudentscanfinishtheirstudywithsuspension,butthelongestextensionoftheperiodofschooling(includingthesuspensionofschooling)cannotexceed2years.Onlywhenstudentsgettheapprovalfromthedepartment,academicaffairofficeandinternationalCollege,cantheysuspendtheirschooling.Generally,thesuspensionisratifiedfbronesemester.Underspecialcircumstance,thesuspensioncanbecontinued,buttheoverallperiodcannotbeover2years.Marriageinschoolingarenotadvocated.Students,whoaredifficulttostudybecauseofthepregnancyordelivery,arepermittedtosuspendschooling.Formalityneedstobecompletedfbrstudentstogetthesuspension.Insuspension,student'sstatusshallberetainedbutstudent'sbenefitscannotbegiven.Anapplicationshouldbemadebystudentsoneweekafterthesuspension.Agreedbytheuniversity,thestudentshallresumeschooling.WithdrawfromSchoolicle44Ifoneofthefollowingcasesoccurs,thestudentwillbeadvisedtowithdrawfromschoolStudents,whosecreditsarebelowtheminimumasitisrequiredbytheuniversityorstudentswhosefailintheexamoccupies70%ofcoursesthattheyaresupposedtoread.Studentsunabletocompletetheirstudywithinthemaximumofschooling(includingsuspension)Noapplicationhasbeenmadeinthetwoweeksaftersuspensionofschoolingorstudentsdisqualifiedtoresumeschooling.Students,whosufferfrompsychosis,infectionandotherdiseasesnotininsurancecoverage,andwhoisunabletofinishtheirstudyduetoaccidentaldisability.Withoutaskingfbrleaveorpermission,studentswhoareabsentfromschoolfbr2weekscontinuouslyorstudentswhodonotattendtherequiredteachingioactivitiesfbr3weeksaccumulatively.StudentswhodonotregisterinthetwoweeksaftertheschoolopeningunreOSAnably;Studentswhoaskfbrwithdrawfromschoolthemselves.Students,whowithdrawofschool,shoulddepartfromChinawithinthedatestipulatedbytheAdministrationofExitandEntry.11Graduation,Completion,non-completionofSchoolingand

degreeArticle45Students,whofinishthestudyandmeettothestandardasrequired,canbeconferredonthedegreeandthediplomaandtograduate.Studentswhohavebeenputunderthepunishmentofdemeritwillnotbegranteddegree.StudentswhoshowsignsofimprovementwillberelievedofpunishmentaftertheirapplicationratifiedbyInternationalStudentsOffice.Article46Students,whofinishthestudyasitisrequiredbutfailtomeetthestandard,canbeconferredonthecompletionofSchooling.Students,whoreachthestandardfinallybyrepeatingthecourseorredoingthegraduationthesis,canhavethecompletionofSchoolingreplacedwiththediplomaofissuancedate.AccordingtoProvisionalRulesonConfermentofDegreeofthePeoplesRepublicofChina,students,whoarepermittedtograduateandpasstheexaminationofAcademicDegreeCommittee,canbeawardedthecertificateofdegree.Students,whowithdrawfromtheuniversityafterthestudyofoneyearorabove,canbeconferredonthecertificateofnon-completionofschooling.Certificateofgraduation,certificateofcompletionofschoolingorcertificateofnon-completionofschoolingandcertificateofdegreecannotbereissued.Iftheabovecertificatesarelostorbroken,onlyverificationshallbeissuedtotheapplicator.Allothermattersaboutcertificateofgraduation,certificateofcompletionofschoolingorcertificateofnon-completionofschoolingandcertificateofdegree,pleaseconsultrelevantregulations.12Chapter4DailyBehaviorManagementStudentsareeducatedandmanagedaccordingtothelawsandregulationsofChina.StudentsshouldabidebyChineselawandregulationsaswellasthedisciplineoftheuniversity.StudentsmustshowtheirrespectandobediencetoChinesemoralcodesandcustoms.Politicalactivityisnotorganizedbytheuniversityusually.Studentsshouldtakepartinvariousactivitiesarrangedspeciallyfbrtheinternationalstudentsbytheuniversity.StudentsareencouragedtojoinintheStudenfsclubsanditsactivitiesofrecreationandsportsestablishedbythestudenfsunionbytheuniversity.Approvedbytheuniversity,thestudentfriendshippartycanbesetup.ThefriendshippartymustobserveChineselawsandregulationandacceptthesupervisionoftheuniversity.Theuniversityrespectstudent'scustomandreligion,butdonotprovideanyplacefbrreligiousactivity.Missionaryworkandreligiousactivityareforbiddenatthenonreligiousarea.PerformanceofreligionmustabidebytheRegulationsontheAliensReligiousActivityinPeoplesRepublicofChina.Studentscannotbeemployedtoworkordobusinessduringtheirstudy.Butstudentscantakethework,whichisprovidedbytheuniversity,fbrstudy.Article56Student'sbehavior,whichbreaktherulesofpublicsecuritysuchasexcessivedrinking,gambling,drug-addicting,anddistribution,copyorsaleofillegalbooksoraudio-visualproducts,areforbidden.Thoseactivities,whichsullythecollegestudenfsimageordamagethesocialmoralcodes,areprohibited.Students,whooffendtherules,shallbepunished.Andthestudentshallshoulderalltheresponsibility,ifabadconsequence(includingacasualtyoralossofproperty)occurs.Ontheaspectofdisciplineandothers,thestudentsshallbemanagedaccordingtoRegulationsontheStudentsofHigherEducationInstitution.13Chapter5RegulationonAccommodationSection1InternationalstudentsApartmentmanagementInordertokeeptheDorm'ssafetyandmaintainnormalorderofstudyingandliving,thefollowingmanagementregulationsaremade:icle58Studentsmustobservethedorm'sregulations.Theymustnotusethedormtoengageinactivitiesthatareagainstnationallawsorschoolregulations.icle59Studentsshouldnotchangeroomsortakeotherroomswithoutauthorization,norcantheytransferorsublettheirrooms.Onlytwostudentsareallowedtoliveinastandarddoubleroom.Studentswhowishtohaveasingleroommustapplyinwriting.Asuiteisavailablefbrdualapplicants.icle60Afterhavingpaiddeposit,eachdormdwellerwillbegivenakey,whichcannotbeduplicatedorlenttoothers.Incasethekeygetslostordamaged,thekeyownerneedstogetanotheronefromthefrontdeskofthedorm.Studentsneedtoreturntheirkeysupongraduationorcompletionofstudy.icle61Studentswhohavefinishedstudiesneedtocheckoutwithinoneweek.Otherwisetheroomwillbechargedattherateofhotelguests.icle62Aftercheck-out,anythingthat'sleftintheroomwillbehandledbythestaffworkingatthedorm;icle63StudentsshouldcooperatewiththedormstaffandobservetheVisitors'Regulations,Visitorsshouldentertheroomafterregisteringatthereceptionwiththeidentitycardorstudentcard,visitorsshouldleaveapartmentbefore22:00o'clock.It'sforbiddenthatvisitorsstayovernightintheapartment.Visitorscannotentertheroomrandomly.Thelobbyinthedormistheplacefbrmeetingvisitors.Staffsworkingatthereceptionwillinformthevisitedinternationalstudents.Visitorsshouldentertheroomafterregisteringatthereceptionwiththeidentitycardorstudentcardandgettingthepermissionofthevisitedstudent'sroommateifnecessary.Thetimefbrvisitingis:8:00A.M.-10:00P.M..Visitorsmustobeythevisitingtimeandleavetheforeignstudents9dormbefore10:00P.M..Otherwise,thestaffsworkingatthedormhavetherighttoforcevisitorstoleavethedormandinformrelateddepartmentandpolicestation.Itisprohibitedfbrvisitorstotakeashowerintheroomsofthedorm.Violatorswillbegiveneconomicsanctions.Itisprohibitedfbrthevisitortostayovernightorinfluencethenormalstudy14andlifeofinternationalstudenfsroommate.Iftheroommatecomplainsaboutthevisitor,thevisitorwill
