Presenter:MiZhiqiangHunanModernLogisticsCollegeMemoryOrganisationofGen2RFIDtagsTypesofTagDataRFIDTags,particularlyGen2RFIDTags,maycarrydataofthreedifferentkinds:BusinessData:Informationthatdescribesthephysicalobjecttowhichthetagisaffixed.ThisinformationincudestheElectronicProductCode(EPC)thatuniquelyidentifiesthephysicalobject,andmayalsoincludeotherdataelementscarriedonthetag.Thisinformationiswhatbusinessapplicationsactupon,andsothisdataiscommonlytransferredbetweenthedatacapturelevelandthebusinessapplicationlevelinatypicalimplementationarchitecture.MoststandardisedbusinessdataonanRFIDtagisequivalenttobusinessdatathatmaybefoundinotherdatacarriers,suchasbarcodes.ControlInformation:Informationthatisusedbydatacaptureapplicationstohelpcontroltheprocessofinteractingwithtags.ControlInformationincludesdatathathelpsacapturingapplicationfilterouttagsfromlargepopulationstoincreasereadefficiency,specialhandlinginformationthataffectsthebehaviourofcapturingapplication,informationthatcontrolstagsecurityfeatures,andsoon.ControlInformationistypicallynotpasseddirectlytobusinessapplications,thoughControlInformationmayinfluencehowacapturingapplicationpresentsbusinessdatatothebusinessapplicationlevel.UnlikeBusinessData,ControlInformationhasnoequivalentinbarcodesorotherdatacarriers.TagManufactureInformation:InformationthatdescribestheTagitself,asopposedtothephysicalobjecttowhichthetagisaffixed.TagManufactureinformationindudesamanufacturerIDandacodethatindicatesthetagmodel.Itmayalsoindudeinformationthatdescribestagcapabilities,aswellasauniqueserialnumberassignedatmanufacturetime.Usually,TagManufactureInformationislikeControlInformationinthatitisusedbycaptureapplicationsbutnotdirectlypassedtobusinessapplications.Insomeapplications,theuniqueserialnumberthatmaybeapartofTagManufactureInformationisusedinadditiontotheEPC,andsoactslikeBusinessData.LikeControlInformation,TagManufactureInformationhasnoequivalentinbarcodesorotherdatacarriers.MemoryOrganisationofGen2RFIDtagsItshouldbenotedthatthesecategoriesareslightlysubjective,andthelinesmaybeblurredincertainapplications.However,theyareusefulforunderstandinghowtheTagDataStandardsarestructured,andareagoodguidefortheireffectiveandcorrectuse.Thefollowingtablesummarisestheinformationabove.BinarydatastructuresdefinedintheTagDataStandardareintendedforuseinRFIDTags,particularlyinUHFClass1Gen2Tags(alsoknownasISO18000-6CTags).Theairinterfacestandard[UHFC1G2]specifiesthestructureofmemoryonGen2tags.Specifically,itspecifiesthatmemoryinthesetagsconsistsoffourseparatelyaddressablebanks,numbered00,01,10,and11.Italsospecifiestheintendeduseofeachbank,andconstraintsuponthecontentofeachbankdictatedbythebehaviouroftheairinterface.Forexample,thelayoutandmeaningoftheReservedbank(bank00),whichcontainspasswordsthatgoverncertainairinterfacecommands,isfullyspecifiedin[UHFC1G2].Forthosememorybanksandmemorylocationsthathavenospecialmeaningtotheairinterface(i.e.,are“justdata”asfarastheairinterfaceisconcerned),theTagDataStandardspecifiesthecontentandmeaningofthesememorylocations.Followingtheconventionestablishedin[UHFC1G2],memoryaddressesaredescribedusinghexadecimalbitaddresses,whereeachbankbeginswithbit00nandextendsupwardtoasmanybitsaseachbankcontains,thecapacityofeachbankbeingconstrainedinsomerespectsby[UHFC1G2]butultimatelymayvarywitheachtagmakeandmodel.Bit00hisconsideredthemostsignificantbitofeachbank,andwhenbinaryfieldsarelaidoutintotagmemorythemostsignificantbitofanygivenfieldoccupiesthelowestnumberedbitaddressoccupiedbythatfield.Whendescribingindividualfields,however,theleastsignificantbitisnumberedzero.Forexample,theAccessPasswordIsa32-bitunsignedIntegerconsistingofbltsb31b30...b0,whereb31
