Procedure:

1.Warm-up:

Starttheclassbysingingthesong"Putonyourclothes".

2.Presentation:

a)Introducethevocabularyrelatedtoclothesusingflashcards.Showtheflashcardsonebyoneandsaythenamesoftheclothesitems,suchasT-shirt,shorts,shoes,hat,etc.

b)Usethe"Iamwearinga/an+clothesitem."sentencepatterntodescribewhatyouarewearing.Forexample,"IamwearingablueT-shirtandgreenshorts."Havethestudentsrepeatafteryou.

c)Showthevideoaboutclothesandaskthestudentstoidentifytheclothesitemstheyseeinthevideo.

3.Practice:

a)Havethestudentsworkinpairs.Onestudentwilldescribewhattheyarewearingandtheotherstudentwilldrawapictureofit.

b)Usetheworksheetwithquestionsrelatedtoclothes.Havethestudentsaskandanswerthequestionsinpairs.

c)Givesimpleinstructionsrelatedtoclothes,suchas"Putonyourcoat"or"Takeoffyourhat".Havethestudentsfollowtheinstructions.

4.Review:

Reviewthevocabularyandsentencepatternsrelatedtoclothesbyplayingamemorygame.Puttheflashcardsontheboardandaskthestudentstomemorizethem.Then,takeoneflashcardawayandaskthestudentswhichflashcardismissing.

5.Assessment:

Assessthestudents'understandingofthevocabularyrelatedtoclothesbyaskingthemtodrawandlabeltheirownoutfit.

6.Homework:

Havethestudentswriteashortparagraphdescribingwhattheyarewearingtoday.

Conclusion:

Materials:

Flashcardswithpicturesofdifferenttypesofclothes,PPTslideswithimagesofclothes,worksheetwithpicturesofclothesandfill-in-the-blanksentences

Warm-up:

Showtheflashcardsofdifferenttypesofclothesandaskthestudentstoidentifythem.Playagameof"WhatamIwearing?"wheretheteacherdescribesanitemofclothingandstudentsguesswhatitis.Forexample,"Iamwearingsomethingthatcoversmylegsandhaspockets.Iwearittowork.WhatamIwearing?"(trousers)

Presentation:

UsingthePPTslides,presentthevocabularyrelatedtoclothes.Encouragestudentstorepeatthewordsafteryouandaskthemtopointtothecorrespondingflashcardasyoushoweachslide.Providesimpledefinitionsorexplanationsforeachitemofclothing,suchas"AT-shirtisatopthathasshortsleevesandnobuttons."

Practice:

Dividetheclassintopairsandhavethempracticedescribingwhattheyortheirpartnerarewearing.Forexample,"SheiswearingaredT-shirt,bluejeans,andwhitesandals."Encouragethestudentstousecompletesentencesandthecorrectvocabularywords.Alternatively,havestudentstaketurnsdescribingitemsofclothingtheylikeordislikeandwhy.

Production:
