neverthemostallany

1)WhichofthefollowingisNOTtrueaccordingtotheinformationinthepassage?

2)Whichofthefollowingismentionedinthepassage?

词however,but,therefore,besides,except,what'smore;result,reason;resultin(结果),

resultfrom,bedueto(由于);because,for,why;asaresult,consequently等,破折号,括

4.表示绝对意义的字眼:first(第一),least(最不),most(最)等;表示惟一性的词汇:

only,unique等;

Itcanbeinferred/concluded(fromthepassage)that.

C.Ithelpsherunderstandtheworld.D.Ithelpshertoleraterudepeople.

3)JaneGreylivedatNo.29SmithTerrace

A.forfouryearsB.fornineyears

C.between1971and1972D.before1955

Annealingisawayofmakingmetalsofterbyheatingitandthenlettingitcool

veryslowly.

Ifmetalisheatedandthencooledveryquickly,fbrexamplebydippingitinwater,itwillbe

veryhardbutalsoverybrittle(脆)--thatis,itwillbreakeasily.Metalthathasbeenannealedis

othermaterials,suchasglass.

Whydopeopleputhotmetalinwater?A.Tomakeithard.B.Tomakeitsoft.C.To

makeitcool.B.Tomakeitbrittle

Haveyoueverheardofasportcalledtubing?Hundredsofpeoplefloatdowna

rushingriveratonceinoldtruck-tiretubes.Sometimesmanyholdhands.Atfirsttherideis

bumpyandfrightful,forthenarrowriverrushesswiftly.Thentheriverwidensandgrowscalm.

Thestorysuggeststhattubing.

A.shouldnotbedoneinmovingwaterB.isdonemainlybytruckdrivers

C.costsalotofmoneyD.canbedangerous

1)Whatisthepurposeofthetext?/Thepurposeofthepassageisto.

2)What'stheauthor'sattitudetowards...?

(1)Themainideaofthispassageis.

(2)Thepassageismainlyabout.

(3)Choosethebesttitleforthepassage.
