合成名词将主体名词变为复数passer-by—passers-by无主体名词时将最后一部分变为复数grown-up—grown-ups,raincoat—raincoats将两部分均变为复数mandoctor—mendoctors2.不可数名词(1)不可数名词没有复数形式,如要表示多少,要用“a+量词+of+名词”来表示,如twocupsofcoffee,apieceofbread等。(2)通常物质名词和抽象名词为不可数名词。物质名词:如ice,water,coffee,soup,milk等;抽象名词:如thought,advice,knowledge,happiness,sorrow,fun,courage等。3.使用名词复数的特殊情况(1)定冠词the+姓氏的复数,表示一家人或夫妻俩。如theGreens,theTrumps。(2)有些名词在一些短语中,只能使用复数形式。如makefriendswith,shakehandswith,takepainstodosth.(努力做某事)等。三、名词所有格名词所有格表示名词之间的所有关系。有两种表达形式:-'s式和“of+名词”式。1.-'s式所有格常用于有生命的东西。不是以-s结尾的名词,加上-'s;以-s结尾的复数名词,只加“'”即可。如Peter'sbackpack,TheBlacks'house。特别地,以-s结尾的单数普通名词后仍然加-'s。如theboss'sson。表示时间、距离、金额、国家或城市等的名词也用-'s表示。如theworld'spopulation,amile'sjourney。注意:(1)表示共有关系时,只在最后一个名词后加-'s,如MaryandTom'sbedroom;表示各自所有关系时,必须在每个名词后加-'s,如Mary'sandTom'sbedrooms。(2)若表示店铺、教堂或某人的家时,所有格后的名词可以省略,如:Helivesnea
