Verb-ing作主语

动词-ing作主语

(1)意义:动词-ing形式做主语往往表示经常性、习惯性的动作,其被动形式为beingdone.

(2)谓语动词的数:单个的动词-ing形式做主语时,谓语动词通常用单数形式;但是两个及以上的动词-ing形式做主语时,谓语动词要根据叙述的事来确定。如果是一件事,谓语动词要用单数形式;如果是两件或多件事情,谓语动词用复数形式。

Beingpraisedbyhisteachermadehimregainconfidence.被老师表扬使他重新获得了信心。

(3)动词-ing形式做主语时,如果要突出动作的执行者,要在动词-ing形式前加上其逻辑主语,这个逻辑主语要用名词所有格或形容词性物主代词,不能用名词的普通格或人称代词宾格。

Thestudents'knowingEnglishwellwillhelpthemtolearnFrench.

学生学好了英语对他们学习法语有帮助。

Hismissingthetraincausedhimtostayinthecityforanotherday.

注意:动词-ing形式做主语时,有时用it做形式主语,而把真正的主语移至句尾。

常见句型:

Itisnouse/nogood/awasteoftime/useless…+doingsth..

Itisawasteoftimearguingwithhim.

和他争辩是浪费时间。

Itisuselesslearningatheorywithoutpractice.

学习理论而不实践是没有用的。

Verb-ing作宾语

动词-ing形式做宾语

动词-ing形式经常放在以下动词(短语)后做宾语:

avoid(避免),admit(承认),consider(考虑),delay(延期),enjoy(喜欢),finish(完成),imagine(想象),miss(错过),practise(练习),resist(抵抗),risk(冒险),suggest(建议),mind(介意),giveup(放弃),insiston(坚持),allow(允许),feellike(想要),escape(避开),require(需要),lookforwardto(盼望)等。

动词(短语)后通常接动词-ing形式做宾语。

Headmittedhavingstolenthemoneyinthesafe.他承认偷了保险柜里的钱。

Allthestaffinourcompanyareconsideringgoingtothecitycenterforthefashionshow.我们公司的所有员工都在考虑去市中心看时装秀。

Hegotwell-preparedfortheinterview,forhecouldn'trisklosingthegoodopportunity.他为这次面试做好了充分的准备,因为他不能冒险失去这一良机。

注意:

以下动词(短语)接动词-ing形式做宾语和接todo做宾语意义不同:

forgettodosth.忘记要做某事;forgetdoingsth.忘记做过某事

remembertodosth.记得要做某事;rememberdoingsth.记得做过某事

regrettodosth.遗憾地去做某事;regretdoingsth.后悔做过某事

meantodosth.打算做某事;meandoingsth.意味着做某事

can'thelptodosth.不能帮忙做某事;can'thelpdoingsth.禁不住做某事

trytodosth.努力做某事;trydoingsth.尝试做某事,试着做某事

goontodosth.继续做另外一件事;goondoingsth.继续做同一件事

stoptodosth.停下来去做另一件事;stopdoingsth.停止做某事(停止正在做的事)

2.对题目所给的信息要进行适当重组,合理安排写作顺序,突出重点信息。重点信息通常是写作的目的所在,比如求职要重点突出学历、工作经历;新闻报道要重点突出事迹;人物介绍类文章要重点突出人物的特点等。

3.熟练掌握描写人物的词汇和句型,并能正确运用它们。
