Purpose:tohelpstudentsorganiseinformationaboutaskillssurvey
Writetheheadingsfromthecirclesinonecolour,forexample,red,andthewordsintheboxinanothercolour,forexample,blue,ontopiecesofpaperornotecards.Makeasetforeverypairofstudents.Havestudentsgetintopairs.Say"Findthethreegroups.Theyarethewordsin(red).Laythemonyourdesks".Monitorasstudentslocatetheheadingsandlaythemontheirdesks.Readtheheadingsaloudorhaveastudentreadthem.Gotoonepairofstudentsandtakeoneofthecardswiththewordin(blue),forexample,fromEngland.Holditupandask"Whichgroupdoesthisgounder?Personalinformation,SkillsorLanguages?"ElicitPersonalinformation.Thensay"Nowreadthewordsandphrasesonthecards.Putthemintothecorrectgroup".Monitorasstudentsputthewordsandphrasesintothegroups,offeringassistanceasneeded.
