学问是学来的'，也是问来的，更是去细致视察和探究实践得来的。在宋代诗人陆游的诗中有一句是：“纸上得来终觉浅，绝知此事要躬行，”细致一想的却如此。书本上的学问终归是有限的，我们要深化透彻地理解此事就必需亲自去实践。

有的人从小就酷爱看书，可他们成天都闷在家，从不出来看一看外面的世界，也不能透彻地去理解书本上的事情，也不去亲自探究，是恒久也没有那些去探究实践的人学的学问多。但我们也不能每天去视察，也要去学书本上的学问，光去实践也不会懂得，但只要我们把学问和实践相结合，就能够求得真知。

在课文中看到北宋的大科学家沈括就是有个疑问“为什么同是桃花，花开的时间相差这么远”他跑去问妈妈，但是妈妈的回答还是没有解开他的谜团。他就想自己亲自去大林寺看一看，后来才发觉山上的温度要比山下低的多，所以桃花开的时间很晚，从他的这个例子中告知我们在求知的过程中，还要与把擅长视察和探究相结合，多提多问，多思索、多实践也是学问中必不行少的一部分。
