ThefollowingdocumentpresentsmyreflectiononteachingUnit5,IntegratedSkills,inthe2022-2023academicyearusingtheOxfordNewEnglish8Btextbook.Thisunitfocusesondevelopingstudents’listening,speaking,reading,andwritingskillsinEnglish.Inthisreflection,Iwilldiscussthecontents,teachingstrategies,assessments,andoveralleffectivenessoftheunit.
ContentAnalysis
Unit5introducesvarioustopicsrelatedtoenvironmentalprotection,includingclimatechange,pollution,andconservation.Thetextbookprovidesawiderangeoflisteningandreadingmaterialstoengagestudentsinthesubjectmatter.Thecontentiswell-structured,andthevocabularyandgrammarexercisesareappropriateforeighth-gradestudents.
