Thisstandardspecifiesthetermsanddefinitions,requirements,testmethods,inspectionrules,marking,packaging,transportingandstorageforjeanswear.

Thisstandardisapplicabletojeanswearmadeofwovendenim,mailymadeofcottonorcottonfibre.

Thisstandardisnotapplicabletogarmentsfortheinfantsagednotolderthan36months.

3Termsanddefinitions

Forthepurposesofthisdocument,thetermsanddefinitionsinGB/T15557andthefollowingsapply.

3.1Unwashedjeanswear

Finishedproductsandfabricsprocessedbydesizing,shrinkagecontrolfinishingbutnotbyfinishingofwashingprocess

3.2Washedjeanswear

Finishedproductsandfabricsprocessedbystonewash,enzymewash,bleachwash,orcombinations.

4Requirements

4.1Instructionsforuse

TheinstructionsforuseshallbeinaccordancewithGB/T5296.4andGB31701,andtheproductsshallbemarkedaswashedjeanswearorunwashedjeanswear.Thespecialprocessessuchasspecialabrasion,damagedwashingandetc.,shallbeindicatedintheinstructions.

4.2Sizesandspecifications

4.2.1ThesizeshallbesetaccordingtoGB/T1335.

4.2.2ThespecificationofthemainpartsoffinishedproductsshallbedesignedaccordingtotherelevantrequirementsofGB/T1335.

4.3Rawmaterials

4.3.1Shellfabrics

Theshellfabricsshallbechoseninaccordancewithrelevantnationalstandardstomeetthequalityrequirementsspecifiedinthisstandard.

4.3.2Linings

Theliningsshallmatchwiththeshellfabricsandmeetthequalityrequirementsspecifiedinthisstandard.

4.3.3Accessories

4.3.3.1

Interlinings,shoulderpads,trimminglacesandpocketcloth

TheInterlinings,shoulderpads,trimminglacesandpocketclothshallmatchthepropertiesofbothshellfabricsandlinings,andshallmeetthequalityrequirementsspecifiedinthisstandard.

4.3.3.2

Sewingthreads,cordsanddrawstrings,elasticbands

Thesewingthreads,cordsanddrawstrings,elasticbands(exceptfordecorativethreadsandbands)shallmatchthepropertiesoftheshellfabrics,liningsandaccessories.

4.3.3.3

Buttons,zippersandotherattachments

Thebuttons(exceptfordecorativebuttons),zippersandotherattachmentsshallmatchtheshellfabrics.Thesurfaceofbuttons,zippersandotherattachmentsshallbesmoothandwithoutburrs,damage,defects,accessiblesharppointsand/orsharpedges.Thezippershallbeinmeshandbepulledsmoothly.

Notes:Theaccessiblesharppointsandsharpedgesmeanthattheproductcanhurthumanskinunderusualwearingconditions.Children'sgarmentsshallbeinaccordancewiththerelevantprovisionsofGB31701inaddition.

4.4Directionsofwarpandweftyarns

4.4.1Theyarnskewnessoffront,back,sleevesandcollarshallnotbegreaterthan3%.

4.4.2Theyarnskewnessoftrousersorskirtsshallnotbegreaterthan2%.

4.5Colourdifference

4.5.1Unwashedjeanswear.Thecolourdifferenceatsleevesseam,sideseamandsideseamofthetrousersshallnotbelowerthangrade4.Thecolourdifferenceatothersurfacepartsshallbegreaterthangrade4.Thecolourdifferencebetweentopandbottominonesuitshallnotbelowerthangrade3-4.Thecolourdifferenceamongfinishedproductswithinthesamelotshallnotbelowerthangrade3-4.

4.5.2Thecolourdifferenceisnotrequiredforwashedjeanswear.

4.6Defectsoftheappearance

TheacceptabledefectsateachpartofthefinishedproductshouldcomplywiththerequirementsinTable1.ThepartsdivisionisshowninFigure1.Onlyonedefectisallowedoneachindividualpartofthefinishedproduct.Fortheonesnotlistedinthisstandard,theycanbedeterminedaccordingtosimilardefectslistedinTable1asreference.

5.1Testingtools

5.1.1Steelmeasuringtapesorrulerswithminimumscaleof1mm.

5.1.2Greyscaleforassessingchangeincolour(GB/T250).

5.2Dimensionalmeasurement

ThemeasuringmethodsofthemainpartsshallbeinaccordancewithGB/T31907.AndthedimensiontolerancesshallmeettherequirementsasspecifiedinTable3.

5.3Determinationofappearancequality

5.3.1Lightingwithilluminationnotlessthan600Ixisnormallyusedinappearanceevaluation.Northskylightmaybeusedwhenitispossible.

5.3.2TheskewnessoflengthwiseandcrosswiseyarnsismeasuredinaccordancewithGB/T14801,calculatetheresultaccordingtoformula(1)

5.3.3Whencolourdifferenceisassessed,theyarndirectionofthepartthatisassessedshallbe

consistent.Thelightisincidentuponthesurfacesatanangleofapproximately45°.Andthedirectionofviewingisapproximatelyalongtheperpendiculartotheplaneofthesurfaces.Thedistancefromeyestofabricsurfaceis60cm.TheGradeofcolourdifferenceshallbeassessedwithreferencetoGB/T250greyscale.

5.3.4Whentheacceptabledefectsaremeasured,thedistancefromeyestofabricsurfaceis60cm.Andthedefectsarecomparedwithphotographicstandardsofappearancedefectsforjeanswear.Ifnecessary,thesteeltapeorrulerisusedformeasurement.

5.3.5Spiralityoftrousersorskirtsbeforewashingshallmeettherequirementsin4.9,andtestmethodsshallbeinaccordancewithAnnexB.

5.3.6Thestitchdensityshallbemeasuredwithinapartat3cmrandomlyfromfinishedproducts(exceptforpartswithuneventhickness).

5.4Determinationofphysicalandchemicalproperties

5.4.1ThedimensionalchangeafterwashingshallbetestedaccordingtoGB/T8630,withwashingprogramin5AofGB/T8629—2001,thetumbledryingtemperatureshallbe(50±5)℃.Thefinalresultistheaveragevalueofthetestingresultsofthreerandomlyinthelotafteratumbledrying.

5.4.2ThecolourfastnesstowashingshallbetestedaccordingtomethodC(3)inGB/T3921-2008.

5.4.3ThecolourfastnesstoartificiallightshallbetestedaccordingtoGB/T8427—2008,wherebytheexposureconditionchoosemethod3andexposureendatstage1.

5.4.4TensilestrengthshallbetestedaccordingtoGB/T3923.2.

5.4.5TearstrengthshallbetestedaccordingtoGB/T3917.1.

5.4.6AbrasionresistanceshallbetestedaccordingtoGB/T21196.2,atleasttwoseparateyarnsarebrokencompletely.Samplingpositionisrespectivelylocatedat100mmabovethehemofclothing,100mmabovethehemoftrousers,and100mmabovethehemofskirt.Theloadshallbe

6.2Rulesofappearancequalitygradeanddefectclassification

6.2.1Classificationsofappearancequalitygrades

Theclassificationoffinishedproductqualitygradeisbasedonwhetherthedefectsexistandhowtheirseverityis.Thegradeofasinglesampleisdeterminedaccordingtothenumberofdefectsand

theirseverity,andthegradeofthelotisdeterminedaccordingtothenumberofsamplesateachqualitygrade

6.2.2Classificationsofappearancedefects

Asingleproductthatdoesnotmeettheappearancerequirementsofthisstandardisconsideredtobedefective.

Defectsaredividedintothreecategoriesaccordingtotheirseveritythatfailedtomeettherequirementsoraffectingproductperformanceorappearance:

a)Criticaldefect:thedefectwhichseriouslyreducestheusabilityofproductsandimpactstheappearanceofproductsisdefinedasacriticaldefect.

b)Majordefect:thedefectwhichdoesnotseriouslyreducetheusabilityofproducts,orwhichdoesnotseriouslyimpacttheappearanceofproducts,butwhichdoesnotmeettherequirementsofthestandardobviouslyisdefinedasamajordefect.

c)Minordefect:thedefectwhichdoesnotmeettherequirementsofthisstandard,andwhichslightlyimpactstheusabilityandappearanceofproductisdefinedasaminordefect.
