companions

die,save

himself,and

three

animals-the

captain's

dogand

twocats.Yearslater,Crusoesaveaprisoner,naminghis

new

companion

"Friday"after

the

day

of

the

week

he

appeared.Crusoe

then

teaches

himEnglish

and

converts

him

to

Christianity.After

another

natives

savetwo
