教学内容分析本单元的学习内容为PeopleandEvents，主题是人物及事件事迹介绍。本单元共分为听说、阅读、写作和语言练习这四部分。听说部分以伟大的历史人物和历史事件为主题，设计了包含一个关于历史上重要发明为主题的对话听力活动以及口头表达活动；阅读部分为一篇关于詹天佑和京张铁路的语篇，并且教材针对语篇设计了匹配的学习活动，目的是训练学生快速阅读及获取语篇主旨大意的能力；写作部分要求学生结合前文人物和时间的介绍和个人对京张铁路的了解，完成京张铁路信息卡的填写。文化部分为一篇介绍火车的发明过程的说明文，旨在让学生感知人类的伟大发明的创新，形成对人类历史成就的正确认识和文化态度，从而树立正确的认识和价值观念。本单元的语法部分为情态动词的基本用法，进一步来提高学生的语言运用能力。根据学校人培方案及课程标准，本单元共计8个学时。
