Onekeyfactordeterminingthelikelihoodofawildfireisthemoisturecontentinvegetation

(植被),which,inturn,isdeterminedbythetemperatureandrelativehumidityofthe

surroundingair.Bothofthemcanbeeasilyobtainedfromthepublic'ssmartphones.But

smartphonedatadocontainerrors.Thetemperaturemightbeinfluencedbytheair-conditioners,

whilethehumiditysensormightidentifymoisturewhentheuseristakingashower.Fortunately,

researcherssaythehugeamountofdatacollectedfromsmartphonesallowustoremoveabnormal

data,andthisprocedureturnedouttoberelativelystraightforward.

Theresearchersanalyzedtwomajorwildfireevents:firesinIsraelinNovember2016andthe

massivefireinPortugalinJuly2013.Theresultsweresurprising,withsmartphonedatashowing

significantabnormalsignsbeforeandduringthesemajorfires.

efficientuseofthisdatasourcetoprovidebetterearlywarningstothepublicanddisaster

youaboostofenergy,itcanstayinyoursystemforhoursafteryourexercise,andcanaffect
