Onaworldbasis,theurbanstatisticsystemofChinaisrelativelyself-containedandcomplete.Notonlyhasaspecialurbanstatisticdepartment(DepartmentofUrbanStatistics)beensetupwithintheNationalStatisticsBureau,butalsoorganizationsoncounty(orabove)levelsspeciallyassignedforofficialstatisticalworkandinvestigationteamsondifferentlevelsundertheNationalStatisticsBureauhavebeenestablishedacrossthewholecountry.

从世界范围看，中国的城市统计体制较为完备，不仅在国家统计局设有专门负责城市统计工作的部门（城市司），而且在全国县级以上城市都设有专门从事政府统计工作的机构和国家统计局各级调查队。

Inadditiontoofficialstatistics,therearealsosomenon-governmentstatisticswithsomeprofessionalaffiliations.Duetospaceandvolumelimits,thisarticleshouldnottakethemintoconsideration.
