John Keats (1795-1821),John Keats (1795-1821),Life Story Major Literary Works Major Features of Keatss Poetry His Position in English Literature,Life Story,He was born in London on October 31, 1795; His father died when he was nine and his mother died when he was fifteen. Apprenticed to a surgeon-apothecary(外科药剂商) in 1811; Studied medicine at Guys Hospital in London from 1815-1816; In 1816 he became a licensed apothecary(药剂师)but did not practice much of his profession;instead he turned to devote himself to poetry.
