Modern society has become more complex, so it is essential for the young people to have the ability to plan and organize. 颜炜新托福：新托福写作全攻略 新托福考试分为“Independent”和“Integrated”两个部分。 一般说来，前者（独立式写作）对于思路和语言表达水平要求较高。传统的中式英语很难获得考官的认可，而一些不够逻辑的 思路，也往往是失败的主要原因。很多考生认为，这类文章可以通过简单的、机械化地背诵范文，或是背诵例句，就可以顺利 地通过考试。但事实证明，这样的做法并不能起到效果。究其原因，是考生没有充分做好基础语言的准备工作，而且没有在考 前进行充分的思路训练，也就是我们通常所说的写出好提纲。 首先，高分考生（一般评分为 Good 4.0-5.0）的共同特点是，他们有很好的造句能力。这种能力的形成需要经过下面的三个阶 段，即：1）了解英文同中文造句的差别；2）能够清楚的了解英文单词词性的使用；3）控制长难句（连词以及关系连接词的 使用）。这些认知问题就是考生在课上最需要了解，在课下最需要练习和体会的。 下面举个例子：很多同学认为 There are children who like playing computer games. 和 Children like playing computer games. 意思是相同的。但是，实际上按照英文的造句习惯，前者表示“有一些喜欢打游戏的孩子”。孩子作文这句 话强调的重点。而后者表示“一些孩子喜欢上了打游戏”。“喜欢”这件事作为句子的重点。以小见大，一旦大量模棱两可的 表述被用于写作，势必引起考官的不悦。因为错误的表达习惯，在考官看来就是语言能力薄弱的象征。 其次，高分考生的另一个共同特点是具有合理的思想和严谨的结构（逻辑性）。然而，也有一些考生常常把“原因”和“影响” 混为一谈。在托福考试中的一种典型试题，Do you agree or disagree? 是一种需要考生明确表态，并给出原因和解释的议论 文形式。但是，很多考生在解释原因的时候，却错误的将其写成影响，而不是原因了。这样的错误是致命的，因为它直接破坏 了文章的逻辑性，使得读者在理解大意的时候晕头转向(upside down)。 这里我们也举个例子。原题：Should parents give their children pocket money?（父母应该给孩子们一些零花钱吗？） 假如写同意。原因可以是从家长可能这样做的初衷入手进行分析。但是很多的考生会将其写成如果父母这样做，会产生什么样 的好处，作文分析父母应该这样做的原因。听起来，没有什么错误，但是从逻辑学的角度来讲，是先有因，才有果。顺序是不 颠倒的。换句话讲，可以把潜在的好处或影响作为父母决定做这件事的原因来写，就可以避免上述的问题了。类似的问题，需 要通过课上理解、课下练习，形成正确的思考习惯等具体的步骤解决。 简而言之，在考生突破大作文，取得理想成绩之前，他们应该明确，自己的基本写作（遣词造句）已经达到一个比较专业的水 平；自己的写作思路（谋篇布局）可以比较快速地、流畅地、合理地衔接，避免本末倒置的问题。在课程中，学生应该特别认 真地学习这些方面的内容，并且结合我们发布的考试真题进行相关训练，正确将训练的结果和效果最直接的体现在考试中，成 绩上。 再来看看后者（Integrated）综合写作。这种考试形式比较新颖，模拟了在未来北美课堂的一些过程。首先，需要考生具备快 速的从文章中提炼“主题句”的能力；其次，需要考生通过听一节小“课”，了解讲师是如何评价阅读中的核心内容的。这里 一般都是“反对”，这可能是为了体现美国人在“学术辩论”上的精神。这部分是这类题目中考生普遍的薄弱项。因为，正是 这部分工作为接下来写作提供了素材。换而言之，如果这部分的质量不高（比如：缺少分论点、缺少对解释的了解），写作就 会变成“无米之炊”。在写作中，考生可以应用教师提供 model 来把握文章写作的线路，但是这类文章的关键评分和 model 并 无直接关系。高分的关键就是“内容”。“得内容者得高分。” 如何应对综合写作的听力问题呢？首先，要关注单词的听写。这是做笔记所必须的。很多的动词和基本的名词是需要了解的 （具体可以通过“新托福核心听力词汇”和“新托福核心写作词汇”中的光盘进行练习）。其次，学会使用路标词进行精听， 毕竟不是每一句话，每个单词都需要记录。因此“挑剔”的听是一种效率、一种境界。具体的内容可以结合上课时老师提供的 模拟题进行学习和练习。最后，特别留意在“课”中的解释部分。这是区分 fair（中级分数）和 good（高级分数）的关键。 这个内容的把握是至关重要的，也是考生最容易提分的部分。 总而言之，根据近 5 年的一线教学经验以及在获得官方培训师的经验，我总结出新托福写作的 5
