Its always dark.。 Do you like ?What can I do?2. 理解本单元所涉及的词汇或句子。复习巩固who,what,where,when等疑问词的用法。3. 了解北极区域附近动植物,人们的生活状态。增强学生地理、人文方面的知识。4. 通过设计一系列任务型学习活动,引导学生用英语做事,体验语言学习的乐趣,逐步培养学生综合语言运用能力。Keystone: 能正确的听说读写本单元要求的四会单词和句型。Difficulty: 训练学生对大信息量的材料的阅读理解能力。Period: 五课时Teaching aid:教师:准备教学录音磁带,玩具熊,47页书上三幅插图,动物图片,四会单词卡片(可让学生帮忙),小黑板。学生:准备彩色笔,练习本。第一课时Teaching content:P46,“Listen and say the chant”Teaching aims:1. Cognitive aims:掌握单词life polar bear arctic hare lake hill top across. 短语 catch a hare , jump in the water, swim across a lake , walk through the snow , run up the hill. 句型Whats over there?能听懂会说句型:Whats he doing over there?Whats not there?He comes to the top.2. Ability aims:通过讨论活动启发学生的表达欲望,锻炼口头表达能力。3. Emotional and culture aims:(1)了解一些北极动物的生活情况。(2) 用chant ,mime action等多种活动形式,培养学生学习英语的兴趣。Keystone and Difficulty:掌握句型Whats over there?,听懂会说本课chant.Teaching aid:四会单词卡片,polar bear 和Arctic hare的动物图片,玩具熊Teaching procedure.Warming-up1. 听音乐,师在前面领跳领说chant: jump,jump,jump in!swim,swim,swim across!walk,walk,walk through.!run,run,run up!2. 重放音乐,师用动作提醒,生跟做并say chant.Presentation.1. Discusion. 在黑板上用简笔画画出北极雪景图(包括雪山、冰湖、雪地和北极熊)并提问:Where is it? Why do you think so?引出本单元课题“Life in the Arctic”,并教读单词“arctic”. 班内展开讨论:What do you know about arctic?让生尽可能多说一些关于北极的词汇,师将其翻译成英文如polar bear , igloo , snow, hill , low temperature 等等。 将polar bear,arctic hare, water, lake, snow, hill top分别标在黑板上并教读。2. 感知chant节奏内容师站在黑板旁边,遥指 polar bear问:“Whats over there?”生回答“polar bear”,让生明白本句话表达“那是什么”的意思。师板书“Whats over there?”放chant第一段,让学生跟读练习。pair work:利用黑板上的词汇进行对话练习。(如Whats over there?Arctic hare.)3. 练习对话“Whats he doing over there? He wants to catch a hare.”和“whats not there?The arctic hare.”在polar bear边画上 来帮助解释“want”的意思。 4. 放chant前三段。生跟读,重点纠正读音错误。5. Relax.:放全部chant,前三段边念边说,后两段师拿出一个玩具北极熊,师生边听边看玩具熊的动作并模仿。反复一次。6. 放第四、五段chant,生听并模仿动作。师在黑板上画出polar bear一系列的动作并进行标记。教单词“across”“top”.注意纠正动词后面“s”的读音。top hilljump in the water run up the hillswim across the lake walk through the snowlake snow 7. 听音乐看着黑板上的词句进行练习。当生熟练之后,不放音乐,边说边做动作,练习最后两段。.Consolidation.1. 全班齐念chant,选择几名学生在前面表演北极熊的一系列动作,选出“the best actor”让他带全班同学一起边念边做。2. 小组内互相练习。3. 复习单词life polar bear arctic hare lake top across. 短语 catch a hare , jump in the water, swim across a lake , walk through the snow , run up the hill. 句型Whats over there?.Application.1.完成作业。抄写单词polar bear arctic hare top across.看书上插图回答问题:Where is it?Whats over there?Whats he doing over there?2.利用课余时间,寻找关于北极爱斯基摩人的生活资料。教学反思:第二课时Teaching content:P46.“Read the text.”Teaching aims:1.Cognitive aims:掌握单词winter summer cold dark build inside warm. 句型Its always dark.能听懂会说单词most, igloo, snowmobile 认识短语northern Canada理解本课课文.2.Ability aims: 通过阅读学习,增强学生阅读理解能力。 通过有生词的阅读材料的理解训练,锻炼学生对文章的把握能力。培养语感。 培养学生收集资料能力。3.Emotional and culture aims: 了解生活在北极圈附近的人们的生活状况。了解北极的气候,极昼和和极夜等。 知道北极圈附近所在的国家地理位置。Keystone and Difficulty:理解本课课文,知道那里人们的生活状况。Teaching aid:四会单词卡片,书上三幅插图Teaching procedure. Warming-up1. Say chant ,move body.2. Review: 师提问 Whats over there?用上节课所学的单词做回答的替换练习。最后出示书上图片2,3,引出snowmobile , igloo.3. Today ,lets see the man in the arctic.Presentation.1. 出示图片2、3,问How do you think their life?引导生想象那里的气候环境。生自由发言,引出短语very cold, always dark ,never dark ,build an igloo.2. 板书:Its always dark. 用dark ,cold,nice等词做替换练习。 用人称he,she等 和happy ,sad, lovely 等形容词做替换练习。让学生用always造句。3. 播放录音“Most do the year ,its very cold here . its never dark.听音跟读。4. 师拿出一幅地图,指出arctic, Canada, America, northern Canada的位置,让生理解northern Canada的含义。5. 师:Now,I will introduce two friends to you.出示图片1,播放课文录音(前2句)。Ask:Whats his name? Where does he live in?(反复播放录音,听音回答。然后翻开书,让生检查是否正确。)师利用地图解释Grise Fjord的方位,表示北加拿大一个地区的名称。6. 跟随课文录音,齐读前半部分。7. 听后半部分录音。提问:What colour is the igloo?Who is building the igloo?Why did they build igloo?引导生用课文中的话来回答。画简笔画解释inside和build。8. 跟录音齐读全文。. Application.1. Ask:What did you collect about arctic?让生分小组自由交换所搜集的资料。交流时尽可能的使用英文词汇。2. 讨论:Would you like to live in Arctic? Whats favourit food of your mother?.Presentation.1. 师提问:Whats favourit food of polar bear?不翻书,让生想象回答:fish?Arctic hare?然后听课文录音回答。2. 翻开书,寻找答案。Their favourite food is seal.Polar bears also hunt the arctic hare。拿出生词卡片,带读“seal”(用图片解释)“hunt”“cannot”(用动作提示)“also”(“also” means “too”)。3. 听第一段录音,跟读。回答问题:What animal did this passenge talk about?.How big are polar bear?How many metres?How many kilos?What colour is their?Why?师将答案一一板书:AnimalsHow bigfur colourfavourit foodPolar bear:3 metrea650 kiloswhiteSealsalso hunt arctic hare解释when的两种用法。It have two meanings.One is used to ask,“When do you get up?”.Another is used to this way,means“当时候”。4. 分段听全部录音,What animal?归纳出每段所描述的动物:The arctic foxes ,The arctic hare ,The snowy owl,师板书并范读。注意the的两种读音和snowy owl中元音的发音。5. 跟录音齐读课文,注意区别“tunnel”和“lemming”中与e的发音。纠正“daytime”的发音,让生来解释“live in group”“make tunnel”之意。Life和live都表示生活,一个是名词,一个是动词。“make tunnel”means“build tunnel”.6. 静听一遍课文。.Consolidation1.将表格增加两个部分,如下:.AnimalsHow bigfur colourfavourit foodlive in group?make tunnel?The polar bear:3 metrea650 kiloswhiteSealsalso hunt arctic hareThe arctic foxesThe arctic hareThe snowy owl前后四人为一小组进行讨论合作,完成表格。文章没有提及无法回答的用“”表示。3. 全班展示交流所完成的表格。AnimalsHow bigfur colourWhats the favourit food?live in group?make tunnel?The polar bear:3 metrea650 kilosWhiteSealsThey also hunt arctic hareThe arctic foxesWhiteLemmingsIn winterThey live in groupThey make tunnels under the snowThe arctic hareWhiteThey make tunnels under the snow.The snowy owlwhite and blackLemmings.They also hunt birds.4. 回答书中的问题,数一数,How many question can you answer?回答出一个用彩色给自己加一颗星。Who is the six-star-student?.Application.1. 完成练习-连词成句:. in, Arctic, groups, foxes, live. food, is, favourite, their, lemmings.2. 课下搜集更多关于北极动物的资料。互相交流。3. 预习story:Nicolas holiday。划出不懂的词汇,查字典弄清意思。教学反思:第四课时Teaching content:P50-51“A story Nicolas holiday”.Teaching aims:1.Cognitive aims:掌握单词boring grandad grandma playground 句型Do you like ? Lets listen the story。Mark expressions the pupils dont understand with pencil.3. Learn the words.将生找出来的单词板书grandad grandma playground boring welcome tomorrow pull。先让生起来解释单词,生都不会或解释不准时师再做说明。 4. Listen the story again.提问思考:Why is Nicola sad?师画一个不高兴的脸 在黑板,并模仿Nicola的声音说: What can I do?请学生用不高兴的语气模仿Nicola。并用Nicola,you ,we ,she,等人称代词做替换练习。5. 学生听后归纳:in the Arctic, there are no shopping malls, no playgrounds and no TV. Its boring.师一一板书如下:Nicolas holidayno shopping mallsIts boring no playgroundsno TVWhat can I do?6. Why does Nicola become happy later(画一张笑脸 )?找出Nicola变化的原因并归纳板书。Nicolas holidayno shopping malls go fishingIts boring no playgrounds build iglooes No boring. no TV look the polar bearWhat can I do? This is great fun.7. 放最后幅图的录音,跟读。问:At last, Nicola say “Very boring!”.Did she still feel boring? 分角色读这三句话,用语气体会人物的内心感觉。.Consolidation. 复习单词和句型归纳成组的称呼单词grandad-grandma,father-mather, uncle-aunt,son-daughter,sister-brother用“Do you like? I like.”做替换练习。pull-push 用动作说明。 齐读grandad grandma playground boring welcome tomorrow pull等单词。How do you remenber them?让生说出自己的记忆单词方法。. Listen the story integrallty, read together。读时注意模仿人物语气。. Divide the class into 3 parts.分角色跟读课文。.Application:Dispose extracurricular activities:生自由组合将全班分成4个小组,排练这个story。下节课进行表演。要求每个同学都要分配到任务。要有主角、配角、导演、道具、动物演员等等,表演可以自己加入新台词,或者换掉人物名字。但必须用英文。教学反思:第五课时Teaching content:Book-plays performanceRevision aims:. 复习本单元词汇:life polar bear arctic hare lake hill top across winter summer cold dark build inside warm cannot hunt fur group daytime bird also boring grandad grandma playground和句型Whats over there?
