Lesson 2 A computer has a keyboardGood morning ,ladies and gentlemen. Im No.3. Its my pleasure to be here to share my teaching plan. Today Im going to talk about “Read for fun” of lesson 2 A computer has a keyboard. Ill divide 5 parts as follows: First, lets come to the analysis of teaching material. This lesson is from Grade 5 primary English Book 5. This is a reading passage about computers. Ss have learned some words about computers. So they will be interested in this new lesson. As we all know, we are not teach books, but Ss. Next Ill say something about students. Students in Grade 5 are exposed to English for a short time. According to their characteristics of physical and mental development. We should create more favorable conditions and build a better environment to stir up their interest and lead them to learn English step by step. Given the analysis of the teaching material and Ss, I set the following 3 teaching aims:1. aims on the knowledge: : to enable the Ss Understand the main idea of the text2. aims on the abilities: to develop the Sss abilities of how to retell the text. 3. aims on the emotion: to arouse the Ss interest and foster their consciousness of cooperation. In my opinion, the key point is how to understand the text better. The difficult point is how to retell the text. In order to reach the teaching aims, Ill adopt TPR/ task-based and communicative teaching methods. On the other hand, in student-centered class, the teachers main role is to guide the students to learn English with the help of some teaching resources. For instance, the tape recorder,pictures. As well as learn from each other by pair work and group work.Now we come to the most important partteaching procedures. Ill divide it into 4 steps. And Ill explain them from 3aspects: what to teach, how to teach and why.Step 1 warming-up A good beginning is half done. Id like to begin my class with some greetings “Hello, boys and girls, what a shinning day today!” Then, in order to attract Ss attention and form a happy learning English surrounding, Ill lead Ss to sing the chant that have learned in “lets talk” “A computer has a keyboard. ” Its a good way to make Ss close to me .Now, lets move to Step2 presentationIn this step, Ill use some pictures to teach some new words. Pictures can help students to recognize, read and spell the new words more easier. Ill do like this, show a picture of a boy to Ss “Its a boy,he has a mouth,m-o-u-t-h,and its his hand,h-a-n-d. He has 2hands.”And then let the Ss read after me. In order to help my students pronounce the new words correctly, Ill ask them to follow the tape and repeat to form a good habit of pronunciation and intonation. Step3 reading part. After the new words study, lets come to the step 3 reading part. Enough input means good output. Input is very important, and reading is a kind of input, too. Ill divide reading into 3 parts: pre-reading, while-reading and post-reading. 1. prereadingIll ask Ss to open their book and look at the funny pictures on the textbook and let Ss discuss in groups to predict the main ideal of the passage. This is to arouse the Ss interest of study and lead in the new subject.2 .whilereadingFirst, fastreading.Read the passage as quickly as they can. I show some Qs on the Bb and let them get the general idea of passage. For example: Is Eves new friend tall? By doing this, it can improve the Ss reading ability .Second, ListeningAsk Ss to listen to the tape then circle the key words on their book. Such as:tall, mouth ? This step can train the Ss listening ability.Next is carefulreading-pair work Let Ss read the passage carefully, then discuss with their desk mate to draw a picture of Eves friend. Pick out the best picture and give them a flower. This step is arouse Ss interest by drawing competition and let them get a deep understanding of the passage. 3. postreading-group workIn this step, give Ss some minters to role play the passage. While they are preparing, Ill walk around and offer some helps if needed. In order to encourage the Ss to try their best to perform, Ill give a flower to the best group. By this way it can develop Ss ability of communication.Step 4 Consolidation Ill lead the Ss to sing a chant :I have a new friend, I play with him every day, please guess who is he? In this relaxing way, Ss can deep understand this passage.Step 5 Homework As we all know, homework is the extension of class. Different homework for different Ss . 1. for the less fluent students, Ill ask them to follow the tape and read them out loudly. 2. for the fluent students, Ill ask them to retell the dialogue Listen to the tape again and again , and go over todays lesson. The last step is to help Ss understand the text better.Finally, Ill show my blackboard designing. I divide the whole blackboard into 3 parts.On the top of the middle part, its the title Lesson 2 A computer has a keyboard. Under i
