Unit 2 Healthy eating.阅读理解A(2018安徽合肥高三调研,D)The effects of coffee consumption on health have long been a subject for debate. Since the 1980s, some people have spoken out against drinking coffee, while others have weled coffee for its supposed benefits to health.According to a scientific report, proper coffee consumption, three to five cups per day, can be taken as a healthy dietary pattern, along with other healthful behavior. The report also says that coffee consumption helps reduce the risk of heart disease and it protects against Parkinsons disease.According to Dr. Donald Hensrud of Mayo Clinic, high consumption of coffee can lead to health risk. Dr.Hensrud mentions the dangers of high coffee consumption for people with a certain illness that slows the breakdown of caffeine in the body. Some studies says that drinking two or more cups of coffee daily can actually increase the risk of heart disease.According to the conclusions from a recent study led by Gregory Marcus, a doctor from the University of California, daily moderate consumption of coffee, less than 4 cups, is not associated with these issues. Before the scientific munity reaches a general agreement on the effects of coffee consumption on human health, it will be up to the individual to decide whether the benefits of drinking coffee are greater than the risks. When informed of these possible health benefits and the harm of drinking coffee, Harwood, a high school student stated, “Even though there might be some negative effects of drinking coffee, for the most part, drinking coffee sounds good for health, not to mention that I need coffee to stay awake.”1.What is peoples attitude towards the effects of coffee on health according to Paragraph 1? If you like swimming, set yourself a distance or time challenge. No pain,no gainWrong!Exercise doesnt mean pain. Instead, pain is a sign that your body tells you that something is wrong, and continuing to exercise might lead to serious injury. You may experience mild disfort as you begin to exercise regularly, but this is because your body is adapting to the positive changes in your lifestyle and the aches disappear relatively quickly. If they dont, rest and seek medical advice.5.What does the author think about being fat?A.It is the family genes that make people fat.B.People are fat because they consume too little energy.C.A diary of exercise can prevent people from being fat.D.It is a consequence of peoples unbalanced lifestyles.6.According to the author, how can we make exercise more interesting?A.By taking fun and progressive exercise.B.By choosing simple exercise.C.By doing regular exercise.D.By sticking to outdoor exercise.7.What is the authors opinion about “No pain, no gain” in exercising?A.Keeping fit is essentially a painful experience.B.Exercise should be stopped if continuous pain is felt.C.Pain in exercise is a precondition for reaching your goal.D.Getting used to pain leads to positive changes in your body.8.What is the purpose of the passage?A.To declare the importance of keeping fit.B.To correct some misconceptions about fatness and exercise.C.To confirm what has long been believed in about keeping fit.D.To explain some medical facts about being fat and doing exercise.语法填空(2017湖南三湘名校教育联盟三联)阅读下面短文,在空白处填入1个适当的单词或括号内单词的正确形式。Overweight children and teenagers aged between 5 and 18 in China 1(reach) 8.5 million in 2025,a number2surpasses(超过) the population of Spain, according to a study.According to the study, among the obese Chinese youth, millions of them3(report) to suffer from all kinds of diseases.
