a b s 廿a c t 摘要 在此研究中，作者选取了中英科技论文英语摘要作为研究对象。科技论文 英语摘要的标准化写作有助于其在科技界的交流，扩大科技成果的国际影响力。 虽然摘要篇幅不长，但直接关系到科研成果在世界范围内传播和交流；同时国 际上一些重要检索机构，如美国工程索引( e i ) 通过阅读英语摘要内容是否翔 实，文字是否符合规范来判定是否收录。本文的主要目的在于通过对中英科技 文英语摘要的对比分析，探索出科技论文英语摘要在语言编码方面的规律，寻 找出摘要在语篇建构模式上的规律，从而促进科技论文英语摘要的写作。 此研究采用了对比分析的研究方法。首先，作者通过随机抽样获取了6 0 篇 科技论文的英语摘要作为分析语料，其中3 0 篇选自美国工程信息索引网站，另 外3 0 篇选自万方数据库。随后，作者对所选中的6 0 篇由本族语作者和中国作 者所撰写的科技论文英语摘要，分别进行了语言表层和深层结构上的对比研究。 语言表层结构研究主要从摘要内容，句子陈述，语言表达，信息配置，写作风 格和时态应用等方面进行对比分析；语言深层结构则从著名语言学家韩礼德提 出的系统功能语法中的三个元功能之一的语篇功能出发，应用主位理论和主位 推进模式对这两类英语摘要进行了对比分析。 研究结果表明在语言的表层结构上，中国作者的3 0 篇英语摘要中相当一部 分摘要的基本内容不全，并且有很多信息错置；在语言表述方面，中国作者语 言过于单调笼统而不能表达清楚摘要应陈述的信息；然而在写作风格和时态的 选用方面两种论文摘要有很大的共性。在语言深层结构上，英语本族语者和中 国作者在主位选用上共性很大，简单主位居多，句项主位很少，但其差异之处 在于中国作者的复项主位，尤其是语篇主位的使用过少；在语篇的展开推进方 面，英语本族者多使用线性的推进模式，而中国作者多用主位同一的推进模式。 通过对上述差异和共性的分析与讨论，作者提出了以下的摘要写作技巧： 撰写摘要应使用正式文体；避免出现个人主观观点；遵循摘要写作之四步骤； 删除与摘要构成无关的信息；语言表述多样化避免单调；以简单的词组或组合 开始句子，避免使用过长的成分；增加连接成分的使用和尽量使用线性推进来 展开文章以达到衔接和连贯。本研究给英语写作教学，特别时英语摘要写作， 提供一些具体指导和启示，有一定的理论及实用价值。同时也对如何有效阅读 英语摘要，如何通过阅读摘要掌握科技论文大意，理清作者思路提供了分析过 程，具有一定的可操作性和说服力。 本文选材真实可靠，英语本族语作者的科技论文英语摘要语料都从美国工 程索引中随机选出，中国作者的科技论文英文摘则从万方论文数据库中随机选 出，也有权威性，保证了语料的效度。本文的新颖之处在于第一次以实证性的 对比研究，在大量的语料中逐句对比，找出英语本族语作者和中国作者所撰写 的科技论文英语摘要的差异和共性，并应用韩礼德等语言学家的理论加以解释。 本文不但对摘要进行语言表层结构的分析对比，更着重对其进行深层结构特征 的描述和解释，寻找出英语摘要写作的衔接与连贯的内在规律。并且本文还总 结归纳了大量的英语摘要常用的句型结构供读者参考。 关键词：科技论文英语摘要写作，主位结构，主位推进模式 a b s t r a c t a b s 仃a c t i nt h i sp a p e r , t h ea u t h o rh a sd i r e c t e dh e re f f o r t st os c i e n t i f i ca b s t r a c tw r i t i n gi n e n g l i s h s t a n d a r d i z e dw r i t i n go fa b s t r a c t sf o rs c i e n t i f i cp a p e r si ne n g l i s hw i l lb e h e l p f u lf o rt h ei n t e r n a t i o n a le x c h a n g eo fs c i e n c ea n dt e c h n o l o g y , h e n c et oe x t e n dt h e i n f l u e n c eo fs c i e n t i f i ca n dt e c h n o l o g i c a la c h i e v e m e n t si nt h ew o r l d 。t h o u g ho n l y 3 0 0 -
