青岛科技大学研究生学位论文 基于合成空间理论的介词a t 和i n 的空间隐喻研究 摘要 传统意义上隐喻被看作是一种语言现象和修辞手段，对它的研究也仅限于文 学和修辞学领域。二十世纪七十年代以来，许多学者开始认识到隐喻从本质上讲 属于认知范畴。认知语言学家认为，我们的概念系统在很大程度上来说是隐喻性 的，隐喻作为人类概念系统中深层次的核心概念，对人类日常的思维方式和认识 世界的方式起了重要作用。我们对于空间的感觉和体验是人类生活普遍而重要的 一部分。因此，人们会用空间概念来表达和建构非空间的抽象概念，当人们把一 些空间关系投射到非空间概念上时就形成了空间隐喻。 很多学者已曾用不同理论来解释隐喻现象，但本文认为空间隐喻可以被看作 是一种空间合成，尝试用f a u c o n n i e r 的合成空间理论框架来分析，主要通过研究英 语基本介词“a t ”和“i n ”的空间隐喻拓展来探讨这两个介词的基本语法空间概念( 输 入空间1 ) 与不同的输入空间1 2 合成构建了多种非空间的目标域，如时间域、方式 域、目的域等，以及这些目标域是如何构建的。为了实现研究目标，本研究首先 收集并筛选出语料库中出现的“a t ”和“i n ”的语料，再按照各介词空间拓展出的不同 目标域进行分类，得出这两个介词的空间概念所拓展的隐喻意义的目标域的种类 以及分布情况。经过对比分析各介词的隐喻意义在不同目标域上的分布情况，作 者发现：( 1 ) 介词“a t ”和“i n ”的不同抽象隐喻意义均源于其基本语法意义空间；( 2 ) 大多数抽象空间合成并不是以具体的事物为基本模型，更多基于人们的想象思维 空间，因此，空间的合成具有任意性；( 3 ) 本文通过大量例旬分析，证明了合成 空间理论对空间隐喻具有很高的解释力，同时也为今后隐喻研究提供了新的方法
