摘要 人们在进行第二语言学习时往往会受到许多情感因素的影响，在这些情 感因素中学习动机对人们的第二语言学习的影响尤为突出。 所谓外语学习动机，一般是指个体发动与维持其外语学习活动的内部动 力。外语学习活动的产生与持续总有其内部的、心理上的原因，这种内部的、 心理上的原因就是外语学习动机。 最有影响的动机研究专家是g a r d n e r 和l a m b e r t ，他们把外语学习动机归 纳为“融合型动机”和“工具型动机”两大类。“融合型动机”的特点是学习 者将学习一种第二语言作为自己的目标，因为他对这一目标语持有真正的兴 趣，他学习第二语言的目的是可以更好地与目标语这一群体沟通，甚至是融 入其中。“工具型动机”是学习者将第二语言看作是一种工具，希望自己借助 于学习第二语言所取得的成绩能给自己带来实惠，如升职，提高社会地位等。 l a m b e r t
