西南科技大学硕士研究生学位论文第1 i 页 摘要 随着经济全球化和现代社会生活同质化趋势日益明显，我国与世界各国的贸 易也在不断加深和扩大，从事外贸活动的人也越来越多。相应地，英语作为贸易 交流的工具，在对外贸易活动中的重要性也与日俱增。如何正确、有效的使用谈 判英语进行商务沟通也就越来越受到英语学习者及研究者的关注。 外贸谈判英语作为英语的功能变体，经过商业文化群体的长期使用和实践， 在用词造句、篇章结构等方面都呈现出鲜明和独体的特点。有鉴于此，本文从现 代文体学角度出发，首先分析了外贸谈判英语在语音、词法、句子结构、语义等 语言各个层次上的特点，其次，采用h a l l i d a y 的语域理论，从语场、语旨和语式 三方面进一步探讨形成其语言特征的情景语境因素。此外，本文还涉及了文化在 外贸谈判英语中的影响作用，并在此基础上分类介绍了不同文化背景下的谈判特 征。通过对外贸谈判英语语料的定量、定性分析发现：外贸谈判英语语音层面的 特点是使用省音，停顿；词汇层面上大量使用精确、简明的商业缩略语与经贸术 语，多使用礼貌、客气的词汇；句法层面上多用陈述句、现在时，句子结构短小、 简单，使用适当的被动态和一般疑问句以示礼貌；语义上表达比较模糊、委婉； 篇章上程序化的特点明显。 本文希望通过对外贸谈判英语文体特征的探讨，有助于外贸工作者对外贸谈判
