中文摘要 本研究描述了中国英语专业四年级学生在测试环境下口头评论中填 充性停顿的使用情况，旨在描写应试者在口语中填充停顿的使用特点，找 出不同水平应试者填充停顿使用的差异，以及发现填充停顿对二语学习者 口语水平的预测能力。 本研究使用的口语语料选自中国学习者英语口笔语语料库( 简称 s w e c c l ) 。抽取的6 0 个样本按应试者专业英语八级考试中口头评论部分的 成绩分成高分组和低分组。本文使用s a s 软件进行数据统计，具体分析方 法是独立样本t 检验和多元回归法。通过数据统计分析，发现如下： 一、根据填充停顿的语言环境，本研究中填充停顿分为三类，即单 纯性填充停顿、修正性填充停顿和误起始性填充停顿。其中，从功能上讲， 修正性填充停顿又分为重复性填充停顿、重复起始性填充停顿和自我修正 性填充停顿。 二、在三种填充停顿中，应试者使用单纯性填充停顿的情况最多， 错误起始性填充停顿使用最少。这暗示了应试者倾向于使用单纯性填充停 顿作为一种搜寻适当词汇和整理思绪的策略。而误起始性填充停顿的较少 使用可能与应试者开始测试前有三分钟准备时间有关。 三、独立样本t 一检验结果表明，在单纯性填充停顿和修正性填充停 顿的使用上，高分组和低分组之间存在着显著的差异。而在误起始性填充
