福斯塔夫性格系统研究 摘要：福斯塔大是莎士比历史剧亨利四世( 上、下部) 、亨利五世和喜剧温 莎的风流娘们中的一个丑角，是哈利王子的玩伴。他的荒诞滑稽和战争的严肃残酷有着强 烈的反差；他游手好闲反衬了哈利干子在亨利五世中的卓越建树；在这几部戏剧中占有 非常重要的位置，冈此，几百年来，关于福斯塔夫的评论和研究层出不穷。本文认为福斯塔 夫的复杂性在于：他是统治阶级的压迫者，可是他的性格核心却是消极、可耻的，与他的阶 级属性不相容，也就是说福斯塔大的意识和阶级存在似乎是矛盾的：其次，福斯塔夫的性格 特征代表了被剥削阶级的思想状态，通过精神胜利米逃避客观现实的无奈与痛苦，也能代表 整个人类的生存状态和思想状态，因此，他的性格特征既有共性也有个性，且共性和个性是 相矛盾的。第三，莎+ 比亚创作亨利四世、亨利五世时，英国止处丁伊丽沙白女王统 治时期，英国率先开始了上业革命，开始了海外殖民扩张，国内生活稳定富裕，可福斯塔 夫的生活为何如此堕落和腐败呢，似乎他的性格与产生它的环境是矛盾的。 从这里可以看出，对于像福斯塔犬这样复杂的典型，运用传统的思维方法来处理是很 难凑效的。那种切割的分析、单一的角度分析、静态的分析等方法不可能完满地回答存在与 福斯塔夫性格中的各种矛盾现象，因此，本文从整体论和系统论出发，将福斯塔夫的性格系 统做一个整体的研究。具体来说，就是把福斯塔犬性格作为一个系统( 即一个有机的整体) 来研究，考察系统内部各种性格因素的联系以及他们构成整体的结构和层次，从它们的有机 联系中把握福斯塔夫性格的自身的规定性，即它 占| 有的本质。同时把福斯塔夫形象放剑社会 大系统中，从各个侧面来考察它的系统性质，并且历史地考察福斯塔犬典型在文艺欣赏中不 同时间、空间和读者的审美状态等条件下所产生的不同功能和意义。 本文第一章首先介绍了福斯塔夫的主要社会地位以及在这儿部戏剧，尤其是亨利四 世中的重要作用，然后进行了相关的文献综述，接着讨论其存在的方法论上的问题，本文 认为，福斯塔犬的性格是一个复杂的系统，不能运 j 传统的单一的片面的分析方法来研究这 一复杂的性格系统，而应该将其性格看作一个整体。 本文第二章从整体上探讨了福斯塔大性格的特殊性以及他性格的基本冈素。通过儿组 对立的性格特征分析，本文试图证明福斯塔夫具有双重性格：现实的火败和虚妄的胜利，因 此，他退内心，存在丁自己的想象世界；另一方面，他通过泯灭了意志来适应这痛苦的现实 世界。本文将福斯塔大的基本性格因素归结为：双重性格、自我迷失和泯灭意志。 本文第三章讨论了福斯塔夫性格的功能元素。根据文艺欣赏的理论，艺术形象是在读 者欣赏过程中最后完成的，是作家与读者共同创造的。艺术形象在读者的再创造过程中获得 了新的生命，这源于艺术形象本身的时代性和功能性。首先，他的盲目乐观反映了各阶级的 失败主义情绪；第二，他的奴性思想代表整个国家思想状况；第三，他古怪的言行正是整个 世界生产力落后的消极反映。 本文第四章分析了福斯塔大性格的社会性。要全面描述福斯塔大性格的复杂本质，必 须把福斯塔大放在社会这一系统中，进行多侧面的考察，即从哲学的、政治的、社会学的、 历史的、心理的等多学科角度进行分析，以揭示它的各种类型的社会性质。 本文第元章得出结论，福斯塔夫是一个复杂的性格典型，从系统论的角度可以更加全 面地揭示他性格的本质意义。自然因素是对福斯塔大性格自身固有的基本性质的规定；功能
