尔的目的论认为译者是有意识，有目的的行为主体，对翻译有自己的目的。译者 自身意识和目的的介入，为翻译增添了新的色彩。本文把意识形态和诗学观念引 入译者的目的范畴。译者的意识形态和诗学观念体现译者的目的，同时业决定译 者的翻译选择。 每个译者在翻译之前部有自己的目的，所以在选取翻译文本的时候，译者一 定会有所取舍。译者在选择翻译文本的时候，受到各种因素的影响，其中自身的 意识形态和诗学的影响尤为突出。译者可以选择适合目的语文化意识形态的文 本，用来支持目的语文化的道德观，译者也可以选择与目的语文化意识形态完全 不同的文本，来反对目的语文化中腐朽，或者不符合译者自身意识形态要求的文 本。如果译者想要引入新的诗学规范，译者可以选择新的诗学题材或风格。如果 译者想要巩固自己本国诗学体制的地位，译者可以选择和本国诗学风格或题材一 致的文本来翻译。 译者的目的，意识形态和诗学也决定译者在翻译策略方面的选择，归化和异 化。当译者认为源语文本的意识形态与目的语文化的意识形态相反，译者通常选 择归化翻译方法，反之，选择异化，因为这时异化可以帮助译者宣传自己的意识 形态。译者可以通过归化来改变源语的诗学特性使之适应自己的要求和目的语 文化的要求：译者也可以通过异化来为目的语文学系统直接引入新的诗学。
