语篇翻译中的衔接 张凌云 摘要：衔接是一种谋篇意义，是一种语义上的联系。如果篇章中的某一部 分对另一部分的理解起关键作用，那么这两部分之间就存在衔接关系。韩礼德和 哈桑认为：衔接体现了语篇的连贯性，是产生语篇的必要但不充分条件：它以语 法和词汇手段获得，前者包括照应、省略、替代和连接，后者包括词汇复现和搭 配。 衔接是语篇研究的核心，也是翻译关注的重点。不同学科对衔接问题的共同 关注。使其在翻译研究中的应用可能、可行且具有重大意义。 语篇语占学研究应用当中的语言，它关注句子如何组成语篇，尤其是一串串 语苦如何在一定上下文、社会背景和心理状态下对语言使用者产生意义和变得连 贯。它不再仅限于研究语言本身，而是把视野扩大到语境和语言的交际功能。 广 语篇语言学日益广泛地应用于翻译研究当中，使得翻译单位从以往的词汇层、 、 语句层扩展到段落层或语篇层，并使语篇成为翻译的最后仲裁者。译者在翻译过 程巾应建立语篇意识，不以单个词或句为转换单位而是强调篇章在交际过程中 的整体性( w h o l e n e s s ) 和一体性( u n i t y ) 。而衔接无疑是这一过程中要考虑的首要 问题，它宜接关系到译文的质量，在内容的确立、形式的识别以及在理解原文和 构建译文中都起到不可忽视的作用。衔接自然的译文读来通顺、流畅：缺乏衔接 或衔接不当的译文晦涩、难懂，影响阅读。有些翻译作品虽语法正确，用词得当， 但全篇缺乏通顺，可读性减弱，这正是忽略语篇衔接所致。在语篇翻译过程中， 泽者必须仔细研究原文的衔接关系。找到两种语言中衔接手段的差异，探索适当 的转换途径，尊重和顺应译语语篇的衔接规范。，将源语语篇的衔接关系异曲同工 地复制出来，从而获得相对连贯的译文。) y 英汉语篇翻译中的衔接可由两种方式获得：显性衔接和隐性衔接。显性衔接 体现于词汇、语法、结构等语言表层形式，表现为语篇伴有可辨认的语言形式标 记( 类似韩礼德和哈桑说的“衔接鲒”( c o h e s i v et i e ) 和希弗林说的“话语标已” ( d i s c o u r s em a r k e r s ) ) 。隐性衔接主要表现为语篇内部逻辑语义关系的连贯性、整 体性。英汉两种语言逻辑思维不同，语言成篇方式相应不同。形合与意合作为两 种不同的衔接方式，英语侧重前者，汉语侧重后者。译者在翻译时不仅要充分认 识到英汉语篇在语法、词汇层面上衔接手段的不同，从而进行合理转换：还要认 识到这两种语篇在逻辑语义关系上表现出的不同的成篇特点和组篇方式，尽量选
