a w a r e n e s s i n d e p e n d e n c ee q u a l i t y 摘要 女权运动推动下发展起来的。1 8 5 4 年，玛格丽特富勒 一书。书中关于女性应享有政治、经济、教育平等的观 、参与社会活动等方面起到了重要作用。从此，以女性意 值标准和审美要求的女权主义批评也在不断蓬勃的发展， 论中最具活力和影响力的一种批评理论。它强调以女性经 映为基础，肯定女性自身价值和女性价值观念即肯定女人 的个人意识、女人的尊严以及女人对社会文化做出的贡献。本文从女性阅读的视 角，对海斯特白兰女性意识的觉醒，追求独立和平等的行为做出具体分析，阐 述红字中海斯特的女性主义。从女性主义的角度看，小说的主题很明确。它 表达了对女性的赞扬以及对父权制的谴责。小说的女主人公海斯特白兰敢于反 抗不公平的命运。在残酷的清教统治下，从未停止对爱，对平等权利和美好生活 的追求。本文共分为三部分。第一部分通过对海斯对清教庭无声的反抗的分析来 展现海斯特女性意识的觉醒，虽然此时的海斯特并没有思考自己的行为而只是潜 意识的支配。而走下刑台的海斯特有了不同于传统的思想和判断标准。开始对自 己的爱情以及当时的法律和社会制度进行思索。第二部分陈述孤寂的生活，顽强 的自立精神使得海斯特不仅实现了自己在经济上的独立，还能够帮助别人，回馈 社会，这为海斯特作为一个独立的女人在社会中赢得了一席之地。此后，海斯 特的女性意识得到了升华。海斯特放弃了舒适的生活，回到了波士顿，去帮助需 要帮助的人，去安慰那些其他妇女，完成了由一位热情奔放、无忧无虑的家庭主 妇向探索社会和人类幸福的思想者的过渡。第三部分中的海斯特女性思想意识逐 渐成熟，在教堂要剥走对珠儿的抚养权时，海斯特不再沉默，而是奋起反击，夺 回了抚养权，实现了从思想到行动的蜕变。海斯特对爱情的态度以及对新生活的 渴望体现了她对人性自由的追求。虽然这份纯真的爱情追求违反了宗教戒律，这 样大胆的人性要求与当时的社会道德发生了冲撞，但她们期望挣脱清规戒律的约 束，让人性自由翱翔。 关键字：海斯特女权批评主义自我意识追求独立追求平等 v c h a p t e ro n eh e s t e r sa w a k e n i n go fs e l f -
