华中科技大学硕士学位论文 摘要 委婉语的目前研究主要集中于委婉语的分类，构成手段，原则等方面。委 婉语研究文献中出现的原则有礼貌原则，动听原则，合作原则，自 我保护原则，得体原则，距离原则，。相关原则。委婉语的原则可分 为构造和语用两类。目前委婉语诸原则在构造和语用中存在着定位的问题。 对这些原则应进行批判分析。文献中的构造原则存在着三个问题：一， 动听原则是不是构造原则? 二，委婉语的相关原则与斯珀伯和威 尔逊的相关理论有何关系? 三，相距原则和相关原则是什么关系? 对这 些问题的分析和回答后提出新的委婉语的构造原则模糊原则。文献中提出 的语用原则要么只针对部分委婉语，要么是言语交际的普遍原则而非委婉语所 独有。对此，本文认为这些所谓的原则是委婉语的功能和委婉语使用者的 目的。而且，这些功能或目的不是并列的关系，而是有层次之分的：自我保护 是深层的功能或目的。该功能或目的具有隐蔽性，人们可能有时觉察不到它。 对委婉语诸。原则的批判性分析有理论和实践两方面的意义。在理论上，澄 清了哪些是委婉语的原则，哪些是委婉语的功能或委婉语使用者的目的。对在 构造和语用方面的分类有利于对委婉语从构造机制和语用特点两方面进行研 究。委婉语的功能和委婉语使用者的目的说能使我们清楚地发现委婉语好听 或中听，以及委婉语属于褒义词的范畴的论断是片面的。对委婉语的功能 或委婉语使用者的目的分层次以及自我保护是委婉语的深层功能或委婉语使用 者的深层目的的提法有助于更好地了解委婉语的使用动机。委婉语构造上的模 糊原则是以语言的模糊理论作为自己的理论基础的。但是和模糊理论中对模糊 的界定不同的是，委婉语的模糊是运用各种手段精心策划的有意的模糊，
