摘要 当世界各地的人们以一种前所未有的方式紧密地联系在一起的时候，不同文 化的碰撞和冲突已经不可避免，尤其对商业经济而言更是如此。另外，跨国企业 的蓬勃发展也使得经济与文化的关联更为明显地突显出来。这同时也为文化研究 提供了新的观察视野。人们已经不只局限于国家的角度，而是更多地从社会组织 的角度来探讨文化的差异。 日本经济的迅速崛起，以及亚洲四小龙的傲人业绩吸引了西方经济学者的注 意力。他们发现了在东方企业中有一种被西方经济理论所忽略的因素一企业文 化。而企业文化中的和谐观与竞争意识则分别体现了东、西文化的不同价值取向。 目前有许多学者都试图研究在东西文化冲突的背景下如何在企业中建立行之有 效的交际或管理模式。但若我们想很好地利用文化融合带来的利益，我们就必须 了解文化融合的机理。我们就应更多地关注文化融合现象的分析。 本文就是从探讨和谐观与竞争意识产生的根源以及它们在经济生活中所起 到的作用来进一步解释：( 1 ) 文化冲突是不可避免的；( 2 ) 文化的融合、发展有其 自身的特性。 如今更多的学者倾向接受文化是人类社会和自然相互作用的结果这种观点。 尤其在文化形成的初期更多地受其所在的特定环境影响。本文以h a l l 的“强环 境”与“弱环境”文化以及h o f s t e d e
