j 东大学硕h 学位论文 摘要 弗吉尼亚伍尔夫( 1 8 8 2 1 9 4 1 ) 是2 0 世纪英国文学史中最重要的女作家之一，也 是英国意识流小说家的杰出代表。 伍尔夫是一个多产的作家，她一生共写了九部长篇小说。其中达洛卫夫人被 公认为是伍尔夫意识流创作走向成熟的过渡性作品，也是她的代表作之一。在这部作 品中，伍尔夫采用意识流派写作方法，如内心独白、自由联想、时空蒙太奇、象征等， 向读者展示了一战后伦敦的生活画面。 小说自2 0 世纪初发表以来，就吸引了评论界的广泛关注。2 0 世纪2 0 年代至2 0 世纪4 0 年代的研究主要集中在其写作手法的创新性和实验性。2 0 世纪5 0 年代至6 0 年代的研究转向了哲学、心理学和神话领域。从7 0 年代至8 0 年代，评论家开始从女 性主义及现代主义层面解读这部小说。而8 0 年代至今，评论家也开始从历史主义和 后殖民主义的层面来解读这部作品。 这些角度对理解这部小说都很有意义，但他们忽视了非常重要的一点，这部小说 具有典型的二元对立特点，与沃尔夫双性同体的概念正好呼应。伍尔夫最初在一间 自己的房子中提到双性同体这个概念。这是一个非常古老的概念，在很多哲学和宗 教体系中代表统一和整体。例如，男性与女性之间的对立常被看作二元对立的范例。 本篇论文将从这一层面展开对达洛卫夫人的研究。本篇论文包括五部分。第 一部分是导入部分，主要包括伍尔夫的生平、作品、写作特点及文献综述。接下来 的三章内容是本篇论文的主体部分。 本篇论文的第一章，主要从讨论了受人尊敬的达洛卫夫人和第一次世界大战退伍 军人赛普蒂默斯所感知的世界。虽然二者性别不同，社会地位不同，健康状况不同( 赛 普蒂莫斯被诊断为精神障碍) ，二者的世界观却相同。他们都热爱生活中的美丽瞬间， 同样仇恨扼杀灵魂的“转换 人们最基本的需求之一，二者虽然对立但都不可或缺。应避免走向任何一个极端，二 者应达到一个相对比较平衡的状态。这是本小说展现的第二个二元特性，极端的统一 与共存。 第三章主要论述了小说中的时间主题。伍尔夫在小说中使用了两种时间表达方 法，向读者展示了一个即短暂又永久的世界。小说中的永不停止的钟表时间代表了转 瞬即逝的世界，一切都在分秒之间变化和死亡。另一方面，心理时间代表了永久的世 界。因为回忆可以将过去展现在当下，使过去和现在有机结合在一起。这两种时间表 达方法是小说的支柱，描绘了一个时间流逝记忆永久的世界。这部分展现了又一二元 特性。对立一旦转为平衡便可享受宁静。 本论文的最后一部分是结论，这部分总结说明了本论文的结构特点，总结了全文 的研究特色。通过概况前三章的内容，结论部分指出双性同体的概念在小说中起到了
