语篇结构中多语类混合现象初探 摘要 随着篇章语言学以及话语分析的兴起，语言学家的研究兴趣由词汇语法层次 逐渐转移到诸如篇章、话语等较高层次的单位上。与此同时，代表某一类型语篇 整体的语类，引起了许多语言学家的广泛兴趣和关注，正日益成为当前语言学研 究的一个热点。哈桑在与韩礼德合著的语言、语境、语篇一书中对语类的研 究做出了建设性的贡献( h a l l i d a y & h a s a n , 1 9 8 9 ) ，她提出了语类结构潜势理论 ( g e n e r i cs t r u c t u r a lp o t e n t i a l ) ，比较清晰地解决了日常口头商业交际语类( s e r v i c e e n c o u n t e r ) 的结构以及此语类语篇的生成问题。但是哈桑的研究仅仅限于单个典 型语类结构的情况，而对于多个语类混合在一起出现在一个语篇中的情况并没有 考虑在内。其他致力于语类研究的语言学家如m a r t i n , v e n t o l a , e g g i n s , s w a l e s 等 人同样没有涉足这一领域。语言学家对于这一现象的忽略并不是说明这种现象甚 为罕见以至于不值得进行研究。事实恰恰相反，多语类混合现象是一个普遍现象， 在所有著作文献中多语类语篇的数量恐怕要远远超过单语类语篇的数量，例如我 们在阅读文章的时候，常常会发现议论文中含有某些说明性或者叙述性的段落或 片断，或者记叙文中包含一些关于文章中所涉及到的人物或场景的描写。这些情 况便属于多种语类混合生成一个语篇的例子。 本论文在吸收哈桑、马丁等人对语类研究成果的基础上，从语篇结构分析的 角度，对多语类混合出现在同一语篇的现象进行了初步的探讨。文章首先对多语 类混合体( m u l t i -
