摘要 多重语码是现代社会的必然， 自2 0 世纪7 0 年代以来，双语或多语社团中常 见的语码转换现象得到众多研究领域的关注，更是语言学界的重要课题。关于此 领域的早期研究主要集中在四个方面：结构语占学、心理语言学、社会语言学及 语用学研究。结构语言学对于语码转换中的结构，语法方面的一些规则，思维， 其社会意义和动机等问题进行了研究，p o p l a c k 等人证实了语码转换在句法层次 上的一些特征，提出了“限制”规则；c l y n e 等心理学家试图研究双语者在明显语码 转换或语码混用过程中的思维，提出语码转换激发理论；g u m p e r z 与b l o m 探讨 过语码转换的社会意义，区分了两种不同类型的语码转换，总结了语码转换动机 的主要类型；v e r s c h u e r e n 在语用学诠释一书中提出“顺应性理论”，而于国 栋倡导利用这一模式来进行语码转换的研究，提出语码转换主要是为了顺应语言 现实、社会规约和心理动机，更全面更合理的解释语码转换，从语言、认知、社 会、心理等角度揭示了语码转换的原因和功能，进一步揭示了除结构和经验因素 对语码转换的影响，也解释了语码转换具有除交际弥补策略以外的其他功能。国 内的语码转换研究开始于2 0 世纪8 0 年代，至今仍停留在以何自然为代表的理论 介绍上，理论论证和对少量语料的初步分析上。目前还没有学位论文做过此方面 的研究。从前人的研究可以看出，语言学界几乎没有把社会变量对语码转换影响 与顺应论想结合探讨其使用规律，且未对此课题进行实证研究。 本文旨在从性别、年龄、文化程度三个社会变量入手，以顺应论为理论基础 通过收集来自于中国环境下汉英普通话与方言之间转换的语料，系统研究交际 中语码转换对各变量因素敏感度的影响以及各变量因素如何影响语码转换的使 用。课题的研究将有助于人们了解语码转换是如何顺应语言现实、社会规约和心 理动机，有助于人们了解语码转换的本质，对指导语言教学以及培养学生交际能 力又一定得理论意义和实践意义。 本文通过访谈和问卷调查的方式，用分类法选择调查对象，进行分组时综合 考虑年龄、性别和文化程度，年龄分为老年( 6 0 岁以上) 、中年( 3 6 岁至6 0 岁) 、 青年( 3 5 岁以下) 三个阶段，性别分为男、女，文化程度则分为高( 大学及大 学以上) 、中( 大学以下中学以上) 和低( 小学及文盲) 三个阶段，分别从安徽 大学、合肥老年大学、合肥第四十五中学、合肥南园小学及路上行人等所在人群 中抽样调查，共获得5 5 0 份有效问卷调查结果，借助社会科学统计软件s p s s ，运 用图示对比等方法探讨各社会变量对语码转换的敏感度及其使用动机的影响，验 证文中提出的假设：作为社会语言学领域中的重要因素，语码转换的使用可能受 年龄、性别和文化程度这三个变量影响且其影响程度可能有所差别；根据顺应论， 交际中的“做出选择”是为了顺应语言现实、社会规约和心理动机，因而不同情 景中语码转换的选择使用也符合此顺应模式。 本研究证实；大多数人认同语码转换这一现象，但年龄越老对其越持否定 态度：具有较高教育背景的年轻女性使用语码转换语码转更加频繁；语码转换 具有其他交际策略所没有的各种语用功能。语码转换使用者主要是为了顺应语 言现实，社会规约和心理动机三个方面以顺利达成交际目的。 全文分为六章。第一章简要介绍了研究主题，区分了一些易混淆的术语， 提出了本研究的目的和意义；第二章是文献综述部分，介绍了国内外语码转换 研究的成果及现状；第三章阐明了本研究的理论框架，即耶夫维索尔伦的顺应理 论；第四章介绍本研究的研究方法包括具体语料收集的步骤包括观察访问和问 卷调查及范围和s p s s 数据分析方法；接下来是第五章分析与讨论部分，包 括各变量对语码转换的影响及动机研究；最后一部分总结了本文的发现，阐述 了其理论与实践意义并提出本次研究的局限性和今后努力的方向。 由于受到客观条件的限制，本文调查的对象仅限于合肥地区人群，语言借用、 语码混合等也都包含在语码转换内进行研究，没有详细区分，更多此方面的定性 定量研究包括其他地区十分必要。 关键词：语码转换；年龄：性别：教育程度 a b s t r a c t m u l t i c o d e sa r ei n e v i t a b l ei nm o d e ms o c i e t y s i n c e1 9 7 0 s ，c o d e s w i t c h i n g p h e n o m e n o ni nb i l i n g u a lo rm u l t i l i n g u a lc o m m u n i t i e sa r o u s e da t t e n t i o nw i d e l yi n a c a d e m i a ，e s p e c i a l l yi nt h ef i e l do fl i n g u i s t i c s e a r l yr e s e a r c h e sm a i n l yf o c u s e do n f o u ra s p e c t s ：g r a m m a t i c a l ，p s y c h o l i n g u i s t i c ，s o c i o l i n g u i s t i ca n dp r a g m a t i ca p p r o a c h e s g r a m m a t i c a la p p r o a c hd e a l tw i t ht h es t r u c t u r ea n ds o m er u l e si ng r a m m a t i c a la s p e c t o f c o d e s w i t c h i n g p o p l a c kp r o p o s e d “c o n s t r a i n t p r i n c i p l e t o t e s t i f y s o m e c h a r a c t e r i s t i c so nt h el e v e lo fs y n t a x ；p s y c h o l o g i s t sl i k ec l y n et r i e dt oi n v e s t i g a t et h e t h i n k i n gm o d eo ft h o s ec o d e s w i t c h e r sa n dp u tf o r w a r dt h et h e o r yo f t r i g g e r ； g d m p e r z b l o mp r o b e di n t ot h es o c i a ls i g n i f i c a n c eo fc o d e s w i t c h i n g , d i s t i n g u i s h e d t w ok i n d so fc o d e -
