衔接，作为语篇研究中的重要组成部分之一，对语篇连贯起着至关重要的作 用。自从韩礼德和哈桑与1 9 7 6 年首次提出衔接理论，衔接一词在篇章语言学界 广受关注及肯定。衔接可以分成两大类：语法衔接和词汇衔接。作为创造篇章连 贯的主要手段，词汇衔接是通过对语篇中的词汇选择形成的。许多学者已经对其 进行了大量研究。然而，少有研究专注于词汇衔接如何使用在不同的语域中。因 此，本文致力于研究词汇衔接在世界海运报告语篇中的使用。 通过统计不同词汇衔接手段在2 0 0 0 年至2 0 0 9 年世界海运报告语篇中的使用 频率，本文详尽描述了这些词汇衔接手段在世界海运报告中的分布情况并阐述了 其原因。研究发现，在五种被统计的衔接手段中，重复的使用频率最高，其次为 “双联词 即同义词近义词、反义词，搭配及上下义衔接手段则较少使用。本研
