摘要 本文主要论述了作为翻译策略的归化和异化在翻译中的选择的问题。归化遵 守译语语言文化当前的主流价值观，异化偏离本土主流价值观；归化对于文化问 的差异采取压制手段，在翻译中采用译语透明、流畅的风格，力求读者的易解； 异化保留语言文化差异，使译文呈现出异质成份。归化和异化在语言文化层面上 各不相同，它们不同于传统的翻译方法直译和意译。在翻译实践中，从译本的选 择、翻译策略的选用到译文的编辑、阅读、评论，都会受到译语语言文化及社会 状况的影响和干涉。因此归化和异化这两种翻译策略的选择不是任意的，而是受 到译者、读者、赞助人以及意识形态和伦理道德等因素的制约。由此可见，研究 译语语言文化和社会状况及制约翻译策略的选择的诸多因素对于认识和选择翻 译策略尤为重要。对于这两种策略在翻译中的选择，本文认为翻译不应仅仅求同， 更应求异，归化和异化的选择并非象一些翻译理论研究者认为的那样非此即彼， 而是应该综合考虑本文中论述的若干制约因素，两者结合运用，因而两者是对立 统一、相辅相成的关系。从全球化的角度来看，异化策略应成为翻译中的优先策 略，原因有三：异化翻译可以加强译语读者对异域文化的了解：异化译法更能满 足读者对翻译文学的审美期待；异化译法更有利于译语的丰富和发展。这篇论文 也介绍了美籍学者韦努蒂对于在殖民和后殖民视阈下归化和异化策略的作用的 观点，本文认为无论是归化策略还是异化策略，两者对于原语和译语的影响并非 是单向的，而是双向的；两种策略的应用对于原语和译语均是一把双刃剑。因此 一方面要意识到它们对于原语和译语文化的影响，另一方面也不必过分夸大或过 分担忧两种策略的作用。 关键词：归化，异化，制约因素，策略选择 垒!
